Praise for Sex Witch
At a time when sex and sexuality are under attack, we need writers like Sophie Saint Thomas and books like Sex Witch to remind us that pleasure and magic are our birthright. Sex Witch is funny, smart, and filled with more rituals, spells, and information on sex magic than you can shake a dildo at.
Sarah Lyons, author of Revolutionary Witchcraft:
A Guide to Magical Activism
Sophie's Sex Witch is the perfect guide for anyone wanting to deepen their relationship with their inner ability to perform magick, and increase pleasure, power, and lovenot just through the common tips we see posted online, but through rituals and spells that go a layer deeper and call forth our innermost delicious desires, our inner goddesses, and our hidden sources of power within.
Alexandra Roxo, author of F*ck Like a Goddess:
Heal Yourself. Reclaim Your Voice. Stand in Your Power.
Sophie's words and instructions for sex magick in this book penetrate deeply and yet remain fun. I immediately felt excited to put into practice the spells laid out for me and the encouragement to find my unique identity as a Sex Witch.
Vanessa Cuccia, author of Crystal Healing
and Sacred Pleasure
There are witches and then there are sex witchesthose of us who love to flirt with the edge, with the abyss, with what society would often consider indecent or immoral. But the truth is that witches have always lived in the margins. Yet there hasn't ever been a book written for the kink witches. In Sex Witch, Sophie Saint Thomas offers the missing link between witchcraft and the sex-positive movement, and an endless amount of magick and inspiration for those who want to embrace their sacred (and messy) sexuality. A must have for any witch; Sex Witch is the book we've been waiting for.
Gabriela Herstik, author of Bewitching the Elements:
A Guide to Empowering Yourself through
Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit and
Inner Witch: A Modern Guide
to the Ancient Craft
Sophie Saint Thomas has lovingly crafted the first kinky, queer, and deliciously slut-positive compendium of healing, hexing, and sexing spells for sex witches of all stripes. Whether you want to heal from a breakup, hex TERFs and homophobes, conjure clarity about your kinks, empower yourself before a sex party, consecrate your sex toys, create a cannabis-based flying ointment, strengthen a romantic relationship, or just get good and laid, Sex Witch offers the radical sex-positive tools for this magical work. Sophie's application of kink guidelines to witchcraft is especially compelling, as risk aware witchcraft is a necessity for protecting yourself when delving into the subversive, highly stigmatized, and even forbidden realms of sex, drugs, pleasure, and pain. A shameless celebration of sexual freedom, Sex Witch encourages us to cultivate the potent, political powers we all possess within our hearts and minds and between our thighs.

Introduction
I came with the penis candle inside of me. It was red. Like any responsible witch, I had put a condom on it. As I came, I visualized my dream partner. I summoned Lucifer for this spell. While such a sentence is the stuff that leads to frantic calls from family members accusing me of devil worship, I can explain. Lucifer, the angel who didn't want to hang with the church angels, just wanted to do his own thing. He's a symbol of individuality. As a sex journalist and witch, I need a partner who is chill with an unconventional lifestyle. One too many exes either judged or tried to change me. Then I headed out to a concert, and saw my spell in action, with a reminder that the universe has a sense of humor.
After my attempt to get backstage and bang Marilyn Manson was thwarted due to a giant gun stage prop falling on the Antichrist Superstar, I instead met an actor online who played the Devil in a witch cult classic film. He turned out to just be an actor trying to make ends meet. We never met up in real life, although the brief Skype love affair was a bit on the nose, considering the deity used in the spell. It was after this encounter that I finally met the man who matched my dream partner checklist: He accepted me. There was genuine love, chemistry, and great sex. He was self-supporting. We traveled the world together and began to make plans for our future. The relationship went up in flames.
A breakup delivers a massive blow to the ego and produces feelings of failure. However, not all romantic relationships are meant to last for your entire life. Some people come into our lives to teach us about ourselves and the world or to leave us with an experience. Through hard workand excluding cases of abusewe can come to see our former lovers as gifts rather than failures that render us unlovable.
In retrospect, when I look at both my candle sex magick spell and the resulting relationship, I forgot a few things. I focused on enticing immediate qualities in a partner and ignored many red flags that suggested from the start this was not a relationship with endgame potential. Spells are more than candles and incantations. To manifest what we want, we must integrate knowledge and reason. We can't just dance under a full moon. We must know which type of relationship is best for us and how to communicate with partners to maintain that relationship. In this book, you will find spells utilizing occult knowledge, such as how to conjure a partner using sex and candle magickotherwise known as candle fucking. You will also find relationship advice built on my decade of experience as a sex and dating journalist to ensure you're staying true to your needs. Using scientifically backed information in your spellwork does not make you less of a witch; it means that your spells will work. Witches have always played the role of the wise one ready to step in when churches and governments fail folks. Sex ed mostly sucks, and reproductive and LGBTQIA+ rights are under attack. Our work as witches is to utilize both esoteric and scientific knowledge when mainstream institutions fail us.
