CROCHETED ABODE LA MODE
20 YUMMY CROCHET PROJECTS FOR YOUR HOME
contents
Guide
introduction
Throw some rainbow mini pompoms in the air! Were going to cover your home in cute, colorful, scrumptious crochet! You wont find a single granny afghan or lace doily in this book, but you will find ottomans shaped like donuts, aprons that look like honey bears, and the biggest, squishiest, yummiest banana split throw pillow youve ever seen.
My first book, Twinkie Chans Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies, focused on my signature food-themed scarves to keep you cozy. Since then, Ive started selling patterns on Etsy, sharing free patterns on my blog, and also filming crochet tutorials on YouTube. Ive worked with awesome companies like Michaels Stores, the Craft Yarn Council, Lion Brand Yarns, and Lily Sugar n Cream to help with various yarn launches and promos, and Ive gotten a great response to the home decor crochet projects Ive created. So I wanted to dedicate this book to keeping your home cozy. I take the plushy adorableness of amigurumi and turn that into a useful item for your house, so that all your hard work doesnt just sit on a shelf looking precious, but actually becomes part of your everyday life.
Crochet innately has a nostalgic, comfy, home-y feeling, and I hope to help you kick that crochet into cute with these twenty yummy projects. If youre new to crocheting or need a refresher on basic techniques, skip to the guide at the back of the book. Otherwise, you can jump right in and find all the ingredients and guidance you need for your future crocheted abode la mode!

Hungry yet? Lets dive in!
strawberry shortcake stand-mixer cover
Im currently borrowing my mothers stand-mixer, and it lives next to a window in my kitchen that overlooks my garden. I have this window open quite a bit, and the mixer is sporting a fine coat of garden dirt. This is a crochet-cozy 911 situation! Im known to start whipping up baked goods at three oclock in the morning, and skipping the decontamination process would be a huge bonus. If you follow my work, you know that I have a habit of turning all objects into cakes by covering them in cake-shaped cozies, and this strawberry shortcake mixer cover is no exception! Im topping my pink frosting with whipped cream and berries, but you can have all kinds of fun choosing your own colors, flavors, and decorations!
