Introduction
In my quest to be an environmentally friendly, nonbranded mom who prides herself on creating more unique versions of store-bought items for herself and her family, I decided to make my preschooler a lunch bag. While I searched all the usual places, I struggled to find any inspiring patterns, but I did find a wonderful selection on etsy.com available for purchase. As the acquisitions editor for Stash Books and C&T Publishing, I feel sure that many people share the same values regarding reducing and reusing, and I have confidence that some simple sewing skills can provide the solution to bypassing the ordinary store-bought selection of lunch bags and choosing to create unique and personal projects.
