projects and youll soon get the hang of it.
If youre already a loom-banding fan, youll
enjoy making the cute charms and other
items in this book.
With so many
different band
colors available,
you can create
your own unique
designs.
To start
loom banding, all
you need are bands,
a loom, clips,
and a hook.
Go for it!

Daisies
To make one daisy:
30 bands for
the petals
(5 per petal)
2 bands for the
daisys center
A hook
You Will
Need:
The first
project shows
you how to make
a daisy with
six petals.
Loop two bands onto the hook.
Slide the original band off the
hook onto the two new bands.
To make the rst petal,
place a band on your hook
and wrap it around the
hook two more times.
Two new
bands
Then loop the loose ends of the
two new bands onto the hook.
Original
band
This completes
your rst petal.
Now repeat steps 1 to 3 to make a
second petal. It can be in the same
color as the rst or in a contrasting
color, as shown here.
Now repeat step 2 by
looping two more bands
onto the hook. Slide the
existing bands off the
hook onto the two new
bands. Loop the loose
ends of the new bands
onto the hook.
Keep repeating steps 1
to 3 until you have six
petals on your hook.
Now loop a single
band in a contrasting
color (we used black)
onto the hook. This
band will form the
center of your daisy.
This can be
quite tricky, and you
may need to push the
first few petals along
the hook to keep
everything from sliding
off the end.
With your free hand, stretch out the black
band and carefully slide the petals off the
hook onto the black band.
Make sure the black
band stays attached
to the hook and
doesnt fall off!
Once all six petals are
on the black band, loop
the free end of the black
band onto the hook.
Stretch the
black band
Free end
Hook
Heres your
nished daisy!
Now use the hook
to pull the black
band through itself,
creating a slipknot.
Tighten the knot
and you will be left
with a loop.
Black bands
Finally, wind and
tighten the loop and
then the remaining
black band between
the daisys petals to
form its center.
Cute Candy
Canes
You Will
Need:
To make one
candy cane:
17 white bands
13 red bands
A hook
These candy
cane charms can be
worn on a necklace.
They can also be hung
on a Christmas tree or
used as decorations
on Christmas
packages.
Next, repeat step 2 by
looping three red bands
onto the hook. Slide the
existing bands off the
hook onto the red bands
and then loop the loose
ends of the red bands
onto the hook.
To begin, place a red band on
your hook and wrap it around
the hook two more times.
Loop three white bands
onto the hook. Slide the red
band off the hook onto the
three white bands.
Then loop the loose ends of the
white bands onto the hook.
Keep repeating until
all the groups of three
bands have been used.
You should now have
just two white bands
remaining.
Now loop a single white band onto the hook. Slide the whole
chain of bands off the hook onto the white band and then
loop the loose end of the white band onto the hook.
Repeat step 3 with
another three white
bands. Then repeat
with three red bands.
Loop A
Now pull loop B through loop A to
create a slipknot, and tighten.
Loop B
Slipknot
Push the hook through the
center of the next set of red
bands and catch the loop
with the hook.
Then pull the loop back
through the red bands.
Finally, loop the remaining
white band onto the hook.
Slide the candy cane off the
hook onto the band, and loop
the loose end of the white
band onto the hook.
Pull the white band through
itself to create a slipknot,
and tighten.
