The first edition of this publication was written and published several years ago with the assistance of my former webmaster. Following numerous requests on our Confessions of a Cat Breeder web site we realized there was little information available on this important cat related subject. My notes were drafted into the original document appropriately entitled How to Hide Your Cat From the Landlord. Now given the opportunity to fully address and expand on the material our second edition will be more complete and written in greater detail. Following requests from our valued readers I wish to enhance on this popular area of interest and further elaborate on additional issues that surface within the feline/renting scenario.
Having concealed my feline family for over 30 years I have acquired an expertise with this subject matter. While reading this publication you will discover that my approach differs from those found in other cat related books. As a Feline Behavior Consultant, I have assembled a combination of intriguing and useful facts relating to those renting and unable to part with a beloved cat. For others wishing to welcome a kitten or an adult feline into their home I also address these areas with insights gained from my years as a Registered Cat Breeder. Additionally, with this information you will have the necessary confidence to remain content while residing with your feline in a rental property.

I unexpectantly inherited two domestic felines from a dear friend following her death. With time I came to appreciate how deeply cats remain committed to their original owner when such a loss occurs. Some cats are specifically suited for residing in smaller spaces such as apartments, townhouses and condominiums. We affectionately refer to these felines as being the Perfect Condo Kitty.
