We all know Jesus commands us to disciple others.

But how are we supposed to do this in everyday life? How can women, no matter what stage of life they are in, be a disciple who makes disciples? How can we find time to invest ourselves into others when it feels like our schedules are already full? What is our place in carrying out the Great Commission?

In this practical book, Kandi Gallaty helps you develop an effective disciple-making strategy in your life and the lives of others. Disciple Her is filled with Kandis personal stories, more than a decades worth of discipleship experiences, and most importantly, her commitment to the Word of God.

Kandi doesnt stop at helping women understand what discipleship isshe gives them a practical game plan for weaving it into their weekly lifestyle, and teaching those they disciple to do the same. Disciple Her will be a point of reference for women to use time and time again in the years to come as women intentionally obey Jesus command to invest their lives into others.

God called me to womens ministry forty-plus years ago, and for all of those years, discipleship has been at the center of my efforts. Seeking a discipleship strategy that works has been a struggle. I knew of the Gallatys Replicate Ministries and had read about their D-Group strategy, so when God brought them to our church, I was ecstatic. Because of them, starting a D-Group with young women was the first thing I did when I retired. Being personally blessed doesnt even start to describe the experience Ive had with these discipleship principles! All the details you need to disciple other women are right here in Disciple Her ! And IT WORKS!

Chris Adams, retired womens ministry specialist at LifeWay Christian Resources and writer at An Imperfect Woman in Gods Perfect Plan blog (chrisadams.blog)

While the Western church today is resource-rich and fat with Bible knowledge, too often that knowledge doesnt make its way into our lives. For all our knowledge, the truth is, our lives dont look all that different. My concern for the church is that we are becoming mere consumers of the Word instead of disciples whose lives are defined and directed by the Scriptures. Discipleship is the work of all believersthe catalyst for the churchs growth into spiritual maturity so that we wont be immature like children... tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching... trick[ed] with lies so clever they sound like the truth (Eph. 4:14). This means that each of us must take the call to make disciples seriously.

Kandis book is a call to biblical discipleship. She shows that discipleship doesnt just happen by accident; we must be intentional. And we doesnt just mean a church program or the church staff or the most spiritual among us. It means all of us. Discipleship is the work that every Christian is called to do. Yet so many women are intimidated and arent even sure how to start. This book demystifies discipleship and empowers women by providing concrete and practical tools they can implement. I highly recommend Disciple Her as a resource!

Chrystie Cole, womens discipleship advisor at Grace Church in Greenville, South Carolina, and author of Grace Churchs Ezer discipleship studies, Biblical Femininity, Redeeming Sexuality, Body Matters, and A Womans Words

Kandi Gallaty writes as a true practitioner of discipleship. She doesnt embody a program, but a discipleship lifestyle. If you are looking for a biblical and reproducible model to intentionally equip women in your life to be faithful Christ-followers, you have the right book in your hands.

Kathy Litton, director of planter spouse care at New American Mission Board and pastors wife

Discipleship is deeply important, but so often Ive held back from participating because of fear that I wasnt equipped and I wouldnt know where to start. In Disciple Her , Kandi offers a thoughtful resource that provided me the road map I needed. What a gift to have this resource!

Lauren Green McAfee, corporate ambassador for Hobby Lobby and coauthor of Only One Life: How a Womans Every Day Shapes an Eternal Legacy

The multiplication process of discipleship is at the very core of vibrant Christianity. In her new book, Disciple Her , Kandi Gallaty gives women the necessary tools to engage in making disciples. True discipleship requires more than teaching a Bible study. As Kandi says, it is a lifestyle. Discipleship, by its very nature, leads to accountability and life sharing. Intimacy develops as you study Gods Word together, pray together, and witness together.

If you have longed to be part of a discipleship group, but dont know where to start, this book is for you. It will give you the tools you need to say yes to Christs command to make disciples, and it will help you let God use you to see lives transformed through the power of the gospel and His Word!

Donna Gaines, pastors wife, founder and president of the board for ARISE2Read (a nonprofit that focuses on literacy in the inner city), radio show host for Memphis Women, and author of A Daily Womens Devotional; Seated; Leaving Ordinary; Theres Gotta Be More!; The Home Builders Bible Study; Fresh Brewed Faith Bible Study; Soul-Full Bible Study; and Choose Wisely, Live Fully

In Disciple Her , you will be inspired, motivated, challenged, and equipped to fulfill your role as a discipler of other women. Kandi wonderfully reminds us that every Christian woman is called to do our part in sharing the Word, work, and wonder of God with everyone! This book will be a great resource for believing women everywhere.

I want to thank everyone at B&H and LifeWay for their desire to publish my work. I truly appreciate all of the men and women who have worked on this project. I am grateful for your thoughts, insights, edits, and encouragement.

Vivian Penuel, I cant thank you enough for proofreading this book. You were so kind to take on this project with such short notice.

Julie Woodruff, I love you, friend! You are a constant source of encouragement not only to me, but to all the women in our church! I am grateful to serve alongside you at Long Hollow as we make disciples.

I am grateful for each of the ladies whom I met with in discipleship groups over the years. I love you! The Lord has blessed me tremendously through every one of your relationships. I consider each of you a friend, and I have learned just as much from you as you think you have learned from me. Each group has been a learning and growing experience. The years we have spent together have forever marked my life.

Lori, Kim, Mollie, and Audrey, I cannot express what your friendships mean to me! I love each of you so much and deeply cherish our friendships. We have lived life together and discussed discipleship more times than I can count. You and your families are precious to me.

Stephanie, Barbie, Jen, Abby, Brooke, and Chris, thank you for serving alongside of me. You have prayed for me throughout this process, and I couldnt have done this without you. Being able to serve on staff together brings me so much joy! You are the best lead team wives ever.

To my in-laws and sister-in-law, I love you so much. As a family, you have been so good to me and have always accepted me as a daughter and a sister. You raised the most wonderful son. I see each of you in him. I am so proud to call you family.
