    For the body and head, partially sew up the side seam using mattress stitch or backstitch, insert stuffing and complete the seam.

    Using the cast-on tail, attach three leaves evenly around the base of the body. Then attach the remaining three leaves evenly around the base of the body, overlapping the first three leaves. Using picture as guide, glue eyes to the head section. For the beard and moustache, cut shapes out of felt and glue in place just underneath the eyes. For the hat, use the hat pattern from Ha Pea Christmas () or make a hat from felt. 68m/25g ball (100% acrylic)

Making up

Using the pipe cleaner, make two arms with hands; then attach them to the body of the chilli. Using picture as guide, embroider a mouth with the white yarn and, using glue, attach eyes to the head section. For the spectacles, wrap the craft wire around a pencil and trim the ends. Use the yellow paper to make a crown to fit the top of the chilli.
