GODS PLAN FOR YOU
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the L ORD , plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
JEREMIAH 29:11 NIV
I n Philippians the Lord urges each one of us to live in such a way that we press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (3:14). And as we begin the new year, we often stop to contemplate and plan just exactly how to do that.
But for all our resolutions, we can achieve a life that reflects Gods plans for us only if the Lord is front and center in our lives every day. God promises that, when we live for Him, His plans for us are excellent and full of hope. Let this year be a new beginning of living and walking ever closer to our heavenly Father, with great joy in our hearts as we anticipate His plans for us.
Father, I believe You have great and wonderful plans for my life. In this new year, teach me to live closer to You so I might see those plans unfold.

GOD GOES WITH YOU
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the L ORD your God is with you wherever you go.
JOSHUA 1:9
W here will this new year take you? What new journeys, what new adventures, what new challenges will you face? Begin this new year trusting in the Lord, for He will be with you wherever you go. Call on HimHe is waiting for you to come to Him with open arms.
This year holds many opportunities for fulfillment. Fulfillment in relationships, careers, and interests. But the best and truest fulfillment is found when you focus your thoughts on Jesus Christ. Start each day praising His holy name. Spend time in prayer and in the Word, keeping an open mind and heart. When you do, He will go with you always, and He will bless you beyond your wildest dreams.
Lord, You are my strength and my courage. Because You are ever with me, I can travel in peace.

THE LORD GUIDES
The L ORD will guide you continually, and... you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
ISAIAH 58:11
T he L ORD will guide you continuallywhat a beautiful promise! Each day we can look forward to His Spirit going before, clearing the way, lighting the path, and giving us the guidance we need. His presence is in each circumstance of our lives, whether good or bad. In every moment, He promises to draw us ever closer to Him and to His perfect will for our lives. And He promises to give us all the strength we need to follow Him.
But God doesnt stop at mere survival. He doesnt just satisfy and strengthen. Though there will be difficulties and times of drought in our lives, God guides us to His living waters. He enables us to flourish like a watered garden, where His blessings always bloom.
Father, when I walk through the deserts of this life, I will trust You to satisfy my thirst. Lead me in the way You wish me to go.

GOD LOVES US, PERIOD
God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
ROMANS 5:8
T he guilt that sin brings into our lives is often the stumbling block that keeps us from a deeper walk with God. We fear that when we miss the mark He has set, He is so disappointed that He simply gives up on us. But this verse from Romans tells us that God knew we were sinnersthat we would continue to sinyet He still loved us enough to send His own Son to save us.
