Dedication

Carole A. Levitt

Id like to dedicate this book to my husband, Mark Rosch. In 1999, when I first had the idea of presenting CLE seminars to lawyers on using the Internet to find free and low-budget websites for research, he was the one who encouraged me to launch Internet For Lawyers (IFL). Mark created our companys website by teaching himself HTML and staying up late at night for weeks on end. He also came up with the idea for IFLs online CLE seminars. Together, we have co-authored six ABA Law Practice Division books and thirteen editions of our seminar book, The Cybersleuths Guide to the Internet and given hundreds of CLE seminars all over the U.S. I couldnt have asked for a better husband, best friend, and work partner, all wrapped up into one person. Finally, I appreciate Mark taking on the lions share of IFLs work during the many months it took me to write this book.

Acknowledgments

Carole A. Levitt

First, I would like to thank my co-author, Judy Davis. It would have been a daunting task to write this book on my own, but with Judys help, this book was brought to fruition. Despite never having met in person, we were able to successfully collaborate on this book using the magic of e-mail and Google Hangouts.

The amazing ABA LPD Publishing staff members (Denise Constantine, Lindsay Dawson, and Laura Bolesta) are next in line to thank. They are a joy to work with.

My sincere appreciation goes to my Project Manager, Jennifer Ellis, and also to all the peer reviewers for their quick turnaround over the Christmas/New Years Eve holiday season: Jennifer Ator, Renay Bloom, Kathleen Havener, Blair Janis, Cookie Lewis, and Tom Mighell.

For inspiring me to become a law librarian in 1976 and teaching me all about print legal research, I owe my gratitude to my University of Illinois library science legal research professors, Carol Boast and Nancy Johnson. Im also grateful to my fellow law librarian, Cindy Chick, for introducing me (and many other law librarians) to the Internet and how we could use it for free legal research.

Judy K. Davis

I would like to thank everyone at the USC Law Library for the support that allowed me to take on this project. Thank you for your advice when I needed it and for your patience when I didnt take it. Many thanks to Carole for your confidence in me, and for your willingness to work with this new author. And finally, thank you Pavan, for being there, for believing in me, and for entertaining the cat while my attention was elsewhere.
