I owe you all a debt of gratitude and appreciation, and this second book wouldnt even be a remote possibility if it werent for your unwavering support. All yall spread the word so well, and I am humbled by the great response. I cant tell you how happy I am to hear from each and every one of you that the book has done you right. Thank you to the team at Telemachus Press: Steve and Terri Himes, the dynamic duo of publishing. Yes, you taught me all about the world of books, but you also taught me how to remain calm under pressure. You take my ideas and scant words and bring my vision to life, and you do it flawlessly and with every attention to detail I didnt even realize I was missing.

Thank you to Jackie Fogel for our brief few months getting to reconnect and work together again and for Lia Richardson who has jumped in full force to do whatever is asked of you. Thank you to Amy Collins for believing in my message and getting said message out there. Thank you to Jeannie Hayden for not only contributing a recipe to the book, but for teaching me about Art Before Dishes so I could get a lot more done with a lot fewer excuses. Thank you to Sally Anders for contributing not just a recipe, but two wonderful daughters who have adopted me as their sister. Thank you to Tricia Clark for your recipe contributionI wish I had you with me every day in the kitchen to class up my photo game. Thank you to Paul Cappelli and Steven Crutchfield for the bajillion wonderful things you do for me and my family, not to mention letting me swipe a family recipe for the book.

Thank you to Daniele Passantino, my beautiful friend, compass, and social media guru. Thank you for keeping me on track and for helping me grow this thing. If folks only knew how this skeleton crew of ours operates, then the world would see how much you carry on your shoulders so that Eat Happy can have a public face. Thank you to Torri Anders for your fortitude, brains, and endurance in the kitchen. This second book would not exist except for your willingness to come to work each day and put my feet (and much food) to the fire. All while mostly fasting.

I bow down to your expertise, and I constantly marvel at your support and encouragement. I miss you every day. Thank you to Vinnie Tortorich who continues to offer endless support and encouragement. We have the best time together, and I cant thank you enough for making me start a podcast with you back in 2012. You continue to change lives and help people, and Im humbled to be along for the journey. Thank you to Lucy and Loren who remain ever steadfast rocks of inspiration.

You both are my world and my life. And thank you to Izzy the Italian Greyhound, my most calming and constant companion, who never once ate sugars and grains, and has the body to show for it. Foreword by Vinnie Tortorich I n 2012 I was looking for someone to help me start a podcast. I wanted to share my NSNG weight loss secrets with the man on the street. I believed that this simple yet vital information should be available to everyone. Optimal health should be every persons rightnot just the privilege of my Hollywood celebrity clientele.

A friend suggested that I contact Anna Vocino, who I had briefly met years before. She had recording equipment and a great voice. Anna graciously agreed to work with me, and my podcast Fitness Confidential was launched to much success. Recording took place in Annas North Hollywood studio and sometimes we were there all day. Every few hours, Anna would disappear into the house and return with mouthwatering NSNG-friendly dishes to sustain us during these long hours. Each time it was something different, and each time it was delicious.

Annas creations were so good that I became convinced that she should have her own cooking show. Well, in true Anna fashion, she decided not to listen to me and wrote a cookbook instead. Eat Happy, Annas break-out, best-selling first book, with her easy and wholesome recipes, is proof that healthy eating can be satisfying, affordable and fun. In her second book Eat Happy, Too, Anna delves deeper into making low-carb, restaurant quality meals, offering myriad tantalizing options for substitutes that would thrill even the most fastidious of foodies. I particularly love the chapters on condiments and cocktailsareas that are always riddled with dietary booby traps. Anna Vocino is the real deal folksbut if you have her first book Eat Happy, you already know that.
