Welcome to witch school, where renowned author Cassandra Eason teaches her magickal secrets! In this introduction geared especially to young adults, Eason targets teen issues like figuring out a future career path, dealing with bullies, changing bad luck, building self-confidence, and handling problems at school. Her spells use astrology, candles, crystals, colors, flowers, and moon power, and she also explores coven rituals and seasonal celebrations. Whether youre trying to get your crushs attention, pass your drivers test, or simply let your natural beauty shine through, youll find the path to making your world better and your dreams come true.
Here are spells to help you:
  • Pass a tough test: use six dice, a photo of yourself looking happy, and dried mint for luck in a drawstring bag.
  • Relieve shyness and anxiety about moving or changing schools: Put a green plant on your altar, along with ribbons and small bells.
  • Follow your dream: go outdoors and shoot power into the cosmos by blowing bubbles.
  • Prevent nosy siblings from messing with your private things by creating a fragrant psychic barrier.
  • Call people back into your life with a beeswax candle.

    INTRODUCTION
    YOUR JOURNEY TO MAGICK

S o, apprentice witches, welcome to witch school! I will be sharing with you magick secrets I have learned over many years. Before long, you and your friends will be sending magick through the cosmos, whether you cast your spells alone in your special magickal place or have magickal candlelit evenings with friends when the moon is shining bright.

Magick can make your everyday world better by sending out notice me vibes to that special guy or girl or dont mess with me messages to bullies waiting in the schoolyard or lets be fair signals to the roommate with attitude who lays claim to the best bed in the college dorm.

We all have the power to make good things happen and get rid of what makes life bad.

This book will teach you how to make your own spells, anytime, anyplace, always for good reasons, and for absolutely any wish using whatever is around the home, garden, or wherever you hang out. You can use materials like flower petals, your favorite jewelry, candles, balloons, bubbles, ribbons, scarves, sewing thread, clay, and other art supplies as you craft your own magickal space and rituals. You will also learn how to do spells to protect yourself against online bullying, jealousy, and family problems.

You should never do harm in magick, but its not always practical to say to someone before doing magick, Hey, do you mind if I do a spell to stop you from making put-down remarks about my appearance when we are with people we dont know?

For a start, they wouldnt say yes. If you do want to stay friends, a bit of good magick input to make them kinder as you give out respect me vibes does no harm. Of course you cant and shouldnt force people to do things against their will, but sending out loving vibes is good. And if the spells purpose isnt right at the time, it will open you to better purposes.

So, lets try a spell. You only need some salt and a white candle for this spell. In well talk about tools and other items to help you set up that beautiful magickal placeor altar, as we witches call itin your bedroom, but for now, well keep it simple.

FOR WHATEVER YOU MOST WANT OR NEED IN THE WORLD

Picture 6 Light a white candle.

Picture 7 Sprinkle a pinch of salt into the flame so it sparkles.

Picture 8 Say what it is you wish for nine times, faster and faster.

Picture 9 After the ninth time, clap your hands in front of the candle and quickly blow out the candle, saying, Wish be mine as I count nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. The spell is done! May my wish swiftly come.

That was easy wasnt it And if you can do anything nonmagickal to make that - photo 10 That was easy, wasnt it? And if you can do anything nonmagickal to make that wish come true faster, that will help the magick happen faster, too.

    CHAPTER 1
    YOUR MAGICKAL ALTAR

O f course, you can cast spells absolutely anywhere, anytime! Maybe on the school bus, during lunch, on the dance floor to help that cute guy notice you, to give you an extra boost of confidence before a big test, or to help your bully get caught in the act. But your altar, or special magickal place, is where you will do most of your spellcasting, and the more you use it, the more magickal it will become. If you are at college, you may be able to team up with friends to create a sacred place you can all share.

Over weeks and months, it will become a special place where sometimes you just light a candle or some incense, hold your favorite crystal, or allow wishes and dreams to come and go without any special ceremony.

FOR YOUR ALTAR YOU WILL NEED:

Picture 13 First, a box with a lock to keep your tools private and safe.

Picture 14 You will also want a table or flat surface. You can cover it with a scarf or a cloth made of velvet or sparkly fabric, decorated with moons, suns, zodiac signs, etc.

Picture 15 You should also have a white candle in the center. From this candle you will light all the other candles used in your spells. Because all colors are contained in white, white candles can be used for every kind of magick. Later, when you learn the magickal meanings of different colors, you can use a candle color that fits the intent of the spell.

Picture 16 Place a small dish in the center near the white candle. This will hold the crystal, piece of jewelry, or charm that you will be filling with magickal power. You can carry this symbol of the spell with you or wear it after the magick work is done. If you want to be really witchy, buy a dish with a pentacle on it from a new age store or online, or you can paint or draw one on an ordinary dish.
