TABLE OF CONTENTS
On any given day at Oxygen headquarters there is no shortage of clean foods. Editors and artists stock up the lunchroom with plenty of meals and snacks to get them through the workday. Mornings consist of hard-boiled eggs or egg whites, oatmeal, a variety of nut butters and antioxidant-loaded fruits such as blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Fast forward to lunch hour. The most common meal is salad. Boring? No way! Mixed greens with plenty of colorful, nutrient-loaded veggies such as tomatoes and bell peppers topped with chickpeas and protein, usually tuna or chicken. Toss an avocado into the mix for a dose of healthy fats, half a whole-wheat pita or sweet potato on the side, and youve got a clean lunch to keep you full until snack time two to three hours later.
When we all go home at night, our meals look something like this: ground turkey lettuce wraps, asparagus and turkey muffins, black bean burgers, and homemade salsa with salmon. Chances are we already have our clean meals planned (and possibly prepped) way in advance, so its just a matter of cooking. No last-minute runs to the grocery store. Any seasoned clean eater knows planning and prep work is more than half the battle.

A stellar diet is crucial to get and keep the body youve always wanted. But any Oxygen gal knows fitness plays a key role as well. Were in the gym four or five days a week, breaking it down into resistance training and cardio sessions. Some of us even manage to add Pilates and yoga classes to our weekly regimens. Sure we look good, but bonus, this lifestyle has us feeling great too.
While we now have it down to a fine science, we werent born with this knowledge. Before Oxygen magazine came into our lives, many of us were eating the wrong foods at the wrong times. Not to mention what we were or were not doing in the gym. But luckily, thanks to the resources at our disposal, weve nailed it. And were happy to share this knowledge with you!
In this book you will find guidance, no matter what your fitness and nutrition goals may be. Need to lose 30 lbs? Check. Want to improve your health through eating well? Check, check. And if you happen to be in great shape and just looking for ways to maintain and fine tune, weve got that too! We went to the best in the fitness biz Oxygen s cover and workout models to get their nutrition, fitness and health tips. With bods like theirs they must be doing something right!
Boost immunity, build muscle, increase your energy, beat stress, plus youll love all the recipes, workouts and advice to get you on the right path and help you stay there! Youll love this book!

Your Total Transformation Solution
Theres a common misconception that a diet has to be some drastic and unpleasant change in your eating habits that results in weight loss while youre on it. Often the person going on a diet expects to give up or almost give up one food group or another, possibly take some sort of magic pill, potion, drink or special food, and probably go very, very hungry.
If youre like most people, youve tried one, two or maybe even 20 of these types of diets before. Its worth stating here that normally people who try one of these diets soon find themselves trying another (and another, and so on ) because they are a temporary solution to a permanent problem. In fact, a deprivation-type diet is your quickest route to a lowered metabolism. Not only that, but usually most of the weight you lose, at least at the outset, is water weight. Lucky for all of us, the science of fat burning has shown that starvation is not the way to go.
Permanent Weight Loss and Good Health
If youve ever read an issue of Oxygen magazine, youll know we promote a diet that provides fat loss, yes, but also one that provides the nutrients that keep your body healthy, vibrant and functioning at its best. We know that lifelong fat loss and optimal health is the way to go, not short-term fat and water loss, and then rebounding with fat gain, reduced metabolism and guilt. Its not at all uncommon for people following Oxygen s eating plans to find that they eat more while losing weight than they did while they were gaining weight. Its simply a matter of choosing the right foods and eating them at specified times (including NOT skipping meals!).
