This magnificent and dynamic place was the worlds first national park. A natural wonderland, Yellowstone offers a rare and up-close view into one of the last large intact ecosystems in the Northern Hemisphere. See abundant wildlife, including bison, elk, bears, and wolves; marvel at geothermal features like Old Faithful, or swim in them at the Boiling River; hike the peaks, Mount Washburn for starters; and stay in historic lodges like the Old Faithful Inn and the rambling Lake Yellowstone Hotel. The vast plains erupt into soaring peaks along the Rocky Mountain Front.
