About the Authors
Michael Puleio started programming in BASIC on a Commodore 64 at the age of nine. Since then, fascinated by the power and capabilities of computers, he has used a number of programming languages and other tools to create software, including Pascal, FORTRAN, Visual Basic, C/C++, Java. C#, Active Server Pages, and Macromedia Flash. In addition, he has been a systems administrator and developed Web sites for small companies and large universities. He also worked as a software engineer on projects ranging from airline reservations to geophysics tools. In his spare time, he enjoys playing computer games, reading, and spending time with his wife.
Jennifer Turner Long is a Web developer for an IT services company that supports organizations in the senior health care industry. She has worked in a variety of roles, including project management and network administration, in addition to Web development. Outside of programming languages, she enjoys working with a number of tools including Macromedias Flash MX and Fireworks, as well as Adobes Photoshop and Premiere, to create cool graphics and multimedia. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and her maroon-bellied conure. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, dancing, and reading.
