My Story
For fifteenyears I had been in the mental health field, thirteen years as a limitedlicensed psychologist at a notfor-profit social service agency. I amthankful I had the opportunity to work with wonderful clients of all ages witha variety of concerns. One day while driving home from work I was in acar accident. A runaway trailer landed on top of my Taurus piercing thehood and landed only inches from the windshield. I thank the Lord I onlyhad minor injuries; however, I developed chronic pain (myofascial painsyndrome) and lingering fatigue. I knew I would have to eventually discontinuemy hour and a half round trip commute and quit my job. While recoveringfrom the accident, I discovered my new passion. The first journey to a beadstore was by accident, or should I say a Godly providence. The gift storeI traveled to had just gone out of business. For the first time I noticeda tiny bead shop across the street. I was mesmerized by the beautifulbeads in dazzling colors, cuts and sizes. Right at the counter I designedmy first bracelet with purple, yellow, green, and copper colored beads. That was my introduction to the wonderful world of beading.
