Chapter 1: Turning Your Idea Into a Business
Ideas
You want to start your own businessthat is amazing! Every great, successful business begins with an idea that takes off. As a business owner, you must be passionate about your idea no matter what. This is something that you are going to craft from the ground up, so you need to believe in it wholeheartedly. One of the biggest mistakes that business owners make is launching their business before they are fully ready to commit to their idea. With a lack of passion comes a lack of motivation to keep the business afloat.
As you begin working with your idea, try to develop it into its final form before you rent out any office space or purchase that website domain name. This is going to make you feel like you are truly prepared for the work to come. Starting a business is not easy but working on a business that you are unsure about is even harder. This idea must be developed for it to be successful.
In this chapter, you will learn about many different ways to do so. No matter what type of stage you are on, remind yourself that you are eventually going to be successful. This type of positive manifestation is exactly what you need to turn your idea into a reality.
Brainstorming
Brainstorm
No matter how much thought you have put into your business plan so far, think about it some more! This is brainstorming, and it is going to lead you one step closer to success. To avoid having a premature launch, you need to think about all of the possibilities surrounding your business idea, your line of work, your niche, your market, and your approach. When you combine these factors, you will have a better idea of where you are in terms of being able to really get started in a fully functional way. Below are more factors to help you get started (Lesonsky, 2018):
Get Inspired
When you look around, you should be able to see how your idea will fit into the world. It needs to be clear to you how people will use your product or benefit from the service that you will provide them. By learning as much information as you can about your field, this is going to give you a necessary boost of inspiration. When you truly feel inspired by something, you should feel happy to put effort into it. Remind yourself that nobody is forcing you to complete this business; you are doing this because you truly want it to become a success.
Consider Your Daily Habits
Would you use your own product or service? This is an important question to ask yourself because it will tell you a lot about the functionality of your idea. If you can find a use for this in your daily life, then there is a chance that others will be able to do the same. The idea must be relatable enough to be useful to people yet unique enough to create some type of incentive. There are several different brands of gum, so what makes you choose to purchase your favorite brand each time? These are the elements you must think about that occur on a daily basis.
Troubleshoot Issues
Everyone experiences hardship at some point throughout their days. Whether work is stressing you out or you need to buy new tires for your car, inconveniences are bound to happen to you! Instead of succumbing to these problems, you can use them to help you brainstorm for your future clients. Think about how you can fix your everyday problems. Much like the concept above, there are likely other people who experience the same hardships that you do. Finding some type of relief is a very big incentive to purchase a product or to hire someone to perform a service!
