The emergence of the need for Paleo Diet: The diet and nutrition has been the basic feature of human civilization. In the primitive era the human civilization used to be based on simple ways of livings, same was the case with the diet and eat in patterns. Eating was simple and was based on the intake of natural ingredients.

The most frequently used food items were meat and e=vegetables. But in those days the physical activity if humans were so intense, that they never had any kind of problems with their diet or health. But today as there is an intensive change in the living patterns of humans, so they need to be extra cautious about their health and physical well being. The need for extra care has arisen as the involvement of machines has eradicated the physical activities of almost all individuals. Owed to this decreased physical activity and increase reliance on machines, the diet patterns need to be highly balanced, to avoid any kind of ailments. As the need for this care pertaining to human diet has increased, so there have been a number if advancements in this field.

Once such advancement is the introduction of Paleo Diet. The evolution of the Paleo diet: As the name denotes the Paleo diet is something referring to the Paleothelic era. The most primitive work about Paleo diet was done in 1975. During that year a gastroentologist, known as Dr. Walter, published a book with the title the Stone Age Diet. This book was actually based on his own personal experience, related to certain patients, who had recovered, after he recommended them to follow the eating patterns of the people of Paleothelic era.

During that time, this book of his did not have a breakthrough and people were reluctant to believe anything other than low calorie and low fat diet. After Dr. Walters work went unattended, a few years later, another paper was published, based on the same principles of Paleothelic diet. This time the writer was Dr. S Boyd Eaton and coauthor Dr. Melvin Konner.

After the paper got severe attention, many of the forums started taking attention and finally the writers published the book:The Paleothelic PRESCRIPTION. One of the most distinguishing features of this book was the way in which the writers presented the adaptable ways of having the food of our ancestors, so that it can be easy to be followed even in the modern days. So most of the people believe that what we see as the modern day Paleo diet is mostly based on the work of these two writers. Paleo diet is characterized by the extensive use of animal fats and proteins. On the contrary the Paleo diet reduces the use of carbohydrates to a minimum level, so much so that only certain traces are found in the diet. In the modern times the only thing that can be followed regarding the Paleothelic diet is the content of the diet, similar to that of our ancestors.

In those Paleothelic periods, the era was called the pre agriculturalist era in which the basic occupation was hunting. So you cannot get into hunting and fetching, yet you can match your diet with those standards, by only choosing the right items from your grocery stores. There is a proper food pyramid in the Paleo diet, which accomplishes the task of a proper and balanced diet. Eggs, seafood and meat are the major components of Paleo diet, which can be used in such a proportion, that the exact purpose of following a Paleothelic diet can be fulfilled. After this section the next category includes the fats from the category of plants, vegetables and fruits and the last category include the seeds and nuts. The forbidden parts in your Paleo Diet: As the Paleo diet is based on a specific style of eating and dieting so there are a number of different items which are forbidden for you, if you are following a Paleo diet.
