The Whispering Dwapara takes readers to a fantasy world where the chants of Sacred Mantras mingle with Acoustics and Applied Physics, the Maharathi warriors fight alongside Indian Army Veterans, and Ancient Daivi Astras join hands with modern Sonic Weapons. This is the story of Kingdom of Vedgarh, an ancient abode of Purebred Aryans in contemporary times, nestled amidst the Himalayas and hidden from the modern societies. Gurukul, Vedgarhs school, is the sole protector and preacher of sacred Vedic scriptures and Celestial powers. It is due to these powers that Vedgarh is the only corner of the universe where Dwapara Yuga persists even today. Vedgarh is in a continuous state of war with dark powers of Kaliyuga: The Asuras. If Vedgarh falls, the Universe will drown in the darkness of Kaliyuga forever. Sitting on the verge of yet another war with Asuras, Vedgarh is suffering from a lack of warriors. It needs at least three young warriors of Maharathi category to stand against Asuras, but there are no promising talents in Gurukul whom Vedgarh could bet its future upon. As a fallback step, Vedgarh opens its gates for contemporary world and starts a grand research project: a project to harmonize ancient Vedic powers with modern scientific miracles, to make an army of ancient warriors equipped with modern techniques of fighting, and to invoke Daivi Astras (celestial weapons of Gods) using light and compact modern Sonic weapons. The multi-protagonist story features Vedic Scholars, Physicists, Professors, Sacred Gurus, Ancient warriors, and Indian Army soldiers working on a mega research project to Invoke ancient Daivi Astras using modern Sonic weapons against one common enemy! From Nasadiya Suktam of Rig Veda to Unified Fields Theory of Albert Einstein, this book is all set to take readers to a whole new dimension of Mythological Science Fiction with the thrill of the greatest upcoming war of Daivi Astras in the history of mankind.

PROLOGUE
Kingdom of Vedgarh
Raghuveer gazed at the ink dark moonless sky; the stars were extraordinarily bright tonight. As the chilled breeze from the white mountains struck against his perfectly chiseled chest and biceps, his long curly hair fluttered in excitement. Ever since he joined the Rangers squad of the kingdom, he had never witnessed any attack from Asuras on his check-post, even during the time of the Great War. Lying down on the wooden watchtower, he was looking at the shining golden tomb of the palace situated atop the peak. His bow and quiver were lying carelessly on his side. Down below, his troop was also relaxed; some with chillums and some others with wine. He also took out his chillum and lit it up; his nap time was approaching fast. Another worthless watch night was about to get over. A calm smile spread across his lips as he puffed out the dense smoke.
Despite being stationed at the farthest corner of the kingdom, his watchtower was considered the safest one due to sprawling humming trees surrounding it. The humming trees, which remain in deep meditation throughout their lifespan, retaliate any kind of negativity to pass through the forest. With their strong positivity, the trees worked as the kingdoms natural shield against infiltrating Asuras from the Pataal Loka.
Suddenly a susurrating sound grabbed his attention. He didnt know whether it was the wind, or the dried leaves, or something else. A chilling thought struck his mind, he kept his chillum on the side and rushed to his watch light. The ranger squad got alert as well with their arrows nocked up on the bowstrings. The swordsmen and spearmen were in the front. From left to right and back to left, Raghuveer rotated the watch light. But he didnt find anything suspicious. Maybe a wolf or a hellhound, he thought.
Suddenly the susurrating sound emerged again. Before Raghuveer could realize anything, a long spear cut through the winds and struck his chest hard, piercing through his heavy armor and the heavier built body. The thrust pushed him back, and a tiny stream of blood flowed through the spearhead. Shocked, he fell on the wooden floor like a lifeless tree. His bow left his shoulder and fell on his side.
Ffffkrrrrshhzzzwooooom! Before he could understand anything, a series of fireballs emerged from the forest and descended upon his troop like giant burning comets. His troop didnt even get an opportunity to retaliate. The cries and smell of burning flesh of his rangers filled the surroundings. The defense led by Raghuveer was falling apart like a bushel of hay. The attackers took them by surprise. The fire was so quick and intense, Raghuveers troop burnt to skulls within a fraction of second. His eyes were getting heavier and his breath was breaking, there was nothing left to fight back.
As soon as the cries got subsided, an unorganized group of huge black and rotten soldiers emerged from the foliage. Some of them were carrying some weirdly shaped spears and spiked swords, while others had bows that were bigger than the biggest bow Raghuveer had ever seen. With half-rotten and smelly bodies with black hanging flesh and bones peeking out, the red-eyed warriors look barbaric and unstoppable.
ASURAS! How could they cross the forest of humming trees! Raghuveer got shocked. The legends used to say that no dark celestial weapon can be invoked inside the forest of humming trees, but today the story looked shockingly different. Not only did the Asura warriors crossed the forest of humming trees, but they also launched the celestial Agneya Astra (the fire weapon) against the ranger squad of the Vedgarh.
This needs to be communicated to the kingdom! Raghuveer thought. But his head was getting heavier, and his shoulders were getting weaker with every drop of blood leaving his body. With shaky hands, he lifted his bow, nocked an arrow, closed his eyes, and started chanting. The Asuras were advancing fast, and if they cross the post, theyll cause serious damage to the kingdoms defense.
Moments after chanting the mantra, Raghuveer opened his eyes, pointed his arrow towards the Asuras troop and exclaimed, Twashtar Astra Prakshepanam! (releasing the celestial weapon of lord Twashtari). As soon as he released the weapon, the Asura army froze. Raghuveer waited breathlessly to see the impact. What if these Asuras are Rakhtbeej warriors? He thought. Rakhtbeej is the category of Asura warriors that multiply with every drop of their blood touching the ground. The next moment, their weapons were pointed at each other. Twashtar Astra created the illusion which made the asuras mistake each other as enemies. Spears struck with spears and swords with swords. Asuras were cutting each other; Raghuveers weapon took them by surprise. Seeing no warrior getting resurrected or multiplied, Raghuveer sighed his last deep breath.
Morons! He thought.
With the next moment, the valley got filled with tong tong tonng of the alarm bell from atop the hill. The surrounding posts were alert now; Raghuveers job was done. He was unable to stand anymore. The heavy spear that passed through his body was making it difficult for his legs to balance him. His hands released the bow and he fell on the floor. Despite being an Atirathi level warrior, he didnt get a chance to counter the most basic dark celestial weapons. It was not the powers, but the speed of Asuras attack that annihilated Raghuveers defense. But he was happy he had stopped Asuras from breaching the line of control. Being a Ranger, he felt fortunate to have got such an honorable death. He was cursing the blind king Devrata and his careless administration for their inconsiderate attitude towards sonic celestial weapons research. If his troop was equipped with those modern, compact and faster weapons, Asuras could never have caused such serious damage. As death gradually gulped his life, he did not allow his eyes to close; he wanted to ensure that no Asura warrior leaves the place alive. He had no energy left to defend his land, but his eyes didnt close. His body had no blood left to spare, but his eyes didnt close. His heart stopped pounding, but his eyes didnt close.
1. THE FIRST ENCOUNTER
Indian Institute of Applied Physics (IIAP), Kolkata
It was 7:30 AM of a foggy January morning in the 135 acres lush green campus of Indian Institute of Applied Physics, Kolkata. While most of the Kolkata was busy sipping morning tea, 50 brave hearts almost reached till the end of 2 hours long Applied Physics lecture in N21 classroom.
To conclude, everything in this universe is vibrating in its own frequency at the subatomic level. Any questions? Professor Sarkar concluded his enormously informative session with just 2 minutes remaining for a break.
