This book is dedicated to my close relatives:
to my father, my mother and my four brothers.
They were all killed by Nazism,
deported from the Dossin barracks at Mechelen.
My father, David Rosengarten, born in 1898, was deported as number 804 with the 18th transport, on January 15, 1943.
My mother, Grine Bruh, born in 1898, was deported as number 868 with the 7th transport, on September 1, 1942.
My brother Samuel Joachim Rosengarten, born in 1923, was deported as number 371 with the 17th transport, on October 31, 1942.
My brother Eliazar Leopold Rosengarten, born in 1935, was deported as number 870 with the 7th transport, on September 1, 1942.
My brother Isaak Rosengarten, born in 1936, was deported as number 871 with the 7th transport, on September 1, 1942.
My brother Henri Rosengarten, born in 1939, was deported as number 869 with the 7th transport, on September 1, 1942.
Berta Stempel, my grandmother; Feiwel Brie, my mother's brother; Golda Esther Hoch, the wife of Feiwel; their children, Isaac Brie and Sara Brie; Lea Brie, my mother's sister; Ire Zinger, my mother's uncle; his children, Debora Zinger and Reisel Zinger; Izak Weinfeld, the husband of Reisel; their children, Salomon Weinfeld and Nathan Weinfeld.
At the same time I wish, with this testimony, to honor
the six million Jews who no more live to tell the tale.
