Praise for Star Wars Memories
The best non-fiction book about Star Wars that I've read since Alan Arnold's Once Upon A Time In A Galaxy production journal. I'm daunted about how best to emphasize and summarize why Star Wars Memories is such a great read. Craig Millers Star Wars Memories is required reading for all Star Wars fans.
Ryder Windham
Best Selling Author, Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide and other Star Wars books
"Craig Miller has been there pretty much from the beginning, first as fan, then as pro, and he provides just the proper mix of gosh-wow enthusiasm and nuts-and-bolts knowledge to make this way-deep-inside book work. May the Force and Star Wars Memories be with you!"
Roy Thomas

Charles Lippincott

Over the past four decades there have been many illuminating peeks into the making of the Star Wars saga, but there's never been a memoir quite like this. Miller regales us with a treasure trove of never-before-heard, deep-dive geeky gold written so conversationally it makes you feel like you were there.
Mark Newbold
Fantha Tracks and Star Wars Insider Magazine
Craig Miller was there at the start and he breezily shares behind-the-scenes anecdotes and interviews that could be told only by someone deeply involved in the process.

This book is like going on a road trip across a galaxy far, far away, from back alleys to big attractions, and will put a smile on the face of any Star Wars fan.
Kevin J. Anderson

Donald F. Glut

How refreshing: A book about the inner workings of Star Wars by someone who was actually there for the inner workings of Star Wars ! After so many that read like the memoirs of Harrison Ford's poolboy, here's the smart 'n' connected Craig Miller, who has stories no one else has told from deep inside Lucasfilm. Some are informative, some are hilarious and an awful lot of 'em are both!
Mark Evanier
Just when you thought you knew everything about the classic era of Star Wars, here comes 'Star Wars Memories'. Craig Miller is your personal tour guide as he takes you behind the curtain and treats us to exciting firsthand stories.

Its a terrific read. It felt like the storyteller telling the kid in me all these fantastic tales, and my child self oohing and wowing to these stories.
Peter mps Sims
Star Walking, Star Talking
"Craig Miller has lived every little boy's dream to be a fly on the wall at the beginning of the greatest science fiction saga and pop culture phenomenon ever created. In this wonderful insider memoir, he takes you along for the ride. And what a ride it is!"
Marc Scott Zicree
The Twilight Zone Companion
"A remarkable, amusing and wildly entertaining look inside the selling of Star Wars. Craig Miller has written a fascinating examination of one of the rare under-scrutized aspects of Star Wars massive success; about how a scruffy band of nerf herders working for George Lucas helped shepherd the space saga to the screen and sell it to wary fans creating an army of obsessed star warriors for generations to come. Miller provides a superb snapshot of an elegant and more civilized age."

Foreword
When George Lucas and I started down the road that led us to Star Wars , we were looking to make a fun, exciting film that was something we would enjoy seeing. We both were lifelong lovers of science fiction, comics, and adventure movies like the Flash Gordon serials, so it was only natural that we would wind up with a film like Star Wars .
Studios werent making that kind of film in the 1970s. But we knew we liked those things and we believed there were other people like us, who longed to see that sort of film. We had no idea just how many there were.
Thats why we strongly supported doing presentations at science fiction and comic book conventions prior to the release of Star Wars . And why we wanted to continue to support the fan community even after the film was released. We wanted to make sure the fans of the Star Wars films were happy and remained enthused about the films. Because we wanted to keep making them.
