Stops Along the Way tells tales of ten red-headed Catholic children raised on a farm in the 60s, just seventy miles from our nations capital yet so rural that they could be welcomed by both the KKK and a diminutive black man who would become part of the family; attending high school in the 70s in another country on another continent alone with two brothers, free to explore mysterious castles and watch gripping bullfights while enrolled in a school built in the Middle Ages; working in the 80s in the most successful political enterprise of its time, yet forgotten just one generation later; shooting commercials in war zones while accused of starting a war; and have you ever wondered what it was like to take off on one airplane from inside a cornfield, or look out the window of another and watch a rocket ship fly by? Stops Along the Way tells all this, and so much moretimeless stories that are the perfect antidote for todays poisonous headlines.

Advance Praise for
Stops Along the Way

No conservative leader has ever written a book like this. No conservative leader has ever lived a life like Brent Bozells. These are amazing tales.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT)

America isor wasa storytelling nation. It is one of the reasons Paul Harveys The Rest of the Story was so popular. Now comes Brent Bozell with a series of stories that revives the tradition of storytelling. In an age of extreme partisanship, conflict, negativity, corruption, and distrust, these stories will bless your heart as they have mine.

Cal Thomas, Syndicated Columnist

Brent Bozell is a true conservative who has dedicated his life to fighting for the American people. Im proud to call him not just a steadfast ally in this fight, but also a friend. This book is an enlightening collection of stories about Brents life and the Bozell family.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Having known his beloved mom, having read the wondrous biography of his heralded dad, I acquired a genuine curiositywhat in the heck was it like for Brent Bozell to grow up amidst the sweeping drama and smoky chaos, the menagerie of pets and siblings, of this nomadic family of amazing consequence? The answer is in this engrossing and beautiful and utterly charming book, about the bedlamic joys of Casa Bozell, familial affection, the travails of Conservatism Inc., and so much more. Brent is a marvelous writer and storyteller, wielding the pen of an infectiously happy warrior. What a kindness he has done to share this gift, and this memoir.

Jack Fowler, Former Publisher, National Review

We all know Brent for his work combating media bias for decades. Now we find out the extraordinary stories that led Brent to where he is today. What a captivating read!

Hon. Mark Meadows, Former White House Chief of Staff

Life is full of surprises; ups and downs. This charming collection is sure to inspire us to dream again.

Dr. Alveda King, Pastoral Associate at Priests for Life

Brent Bozell is one of those people who never seems to close his eyesand even if he does, he still soaks in everything going on around him. His recollections of just a smidgeon of what hes seen in his fuller-than-imaginable life in Stops Along the Way will fascinate his readers, whoever and wherever they are.

Alfred Regnery, President, Regnery Publishing

You need to read this book with a good stiff drink. Rarely do I suggest reading a biography, but this is one you dont want to miss.

Corey Lewandowski, Former Campaign Manager, Donald J. Trump for President

Brent Bozells Stops Along the Way offers a rare glimpse into what shaped this incredible patriots worldview.

Larry Solov, Co-Founder and CEO, Breitbart

Brent is a proud American who has dedicated his life to holding onto the values that really matter. His new book chronicling his life lessons from his many battles comes at the perfect time to inspire us to keep going.

Matt Schlapp, Chair of CPAC

Brent takes storytelling to a level I havent seen in years. Tales of adventure that take you from Virginia to Spain to Europe to Nicaragua to DC back to Virginia to being on a plane that may be getting hijacked! A thoroughly entertaining read!

Hon. Jim DeMint, Chairman, Conservative Partnership Institute

Given Brents pedigree, I always assumed he had an interesting life, but I didnt imagine this. Great stories about his big Catholic family, school in Spain, work in Nicaragua, and, of course, politics make this an enjoyable romp.

Hon. Rick Santorum, Chairman, Patriot Voices

Need an antidote to the chaos going on? This is it. Youll escape to a world of wonder as only Brent can describe because he lived it! Get ready to smile, laugh out loud, and be absolutely mesmerized by these true tales and the incredible style in which they are told.

Adam Brandon, President, FreedomWorks

Brent Bozells Stops Along the Way doesnt hold back. His youthful adventures make for great stories and explain a lot about this fascinating man.

Sean Spicer, Former White House Press Secretary

Whats that old truismthe apple doesnt fall far from the tree? Well, one of my favorite authors, political activists, writers, and tree shakers is Brent Bozell. His father wrote for the redoubtable Senator Barry Goldwater and is himself the nephew of the inimitable William F. Buckley Jr. So Brent, the creator and soul of the watchdog Media Research Center, has chosen some of the juiciest fruit he has collected from his many years right in the middle of the political gardenbut added lots of enjoyable seasoning from his personal true adventures in many other facets of his life. I promise youll not want to put it down and return to the sad, troubling, and harsh realities around usTake a Bozell Break. Youll thank me for it.

Pat Boone, Singer and Conservative Commentator

Americans love stories; that is why great Americans such as Mark Twain, Will Rogers, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan hold a special place in our hearts. And just now, the American people are in dire need of stories that make us reflect on a time of innocence, and daring. My dear friend L. Brent Bozell III has endeavored to bring us stories from his life experiences in Stops Along the Way . Perhaps the healing for America will come from a collection of stories that cause us to remember, dream, of those days once again.

Lt. Col. Allen B. West , Former Congressman and Chairman, Republican Party of Texas

This isnt a bookits a raucous adventure, written in an effortless style that masterfully paints a picture of a life lived to its absolute, no-holds-barred, every-minute-like-its-your-last, fullest.

Craig Shirley, Bestselling Author

Do not believe my brother. I did not do those things.

Father Michael Bozell

What weve got here, says the captain of the guard after slugging a chained Cool Hand Luke, is a failure to communicate. If there is a fundamental problem in America today, it is that very failure: we know what they know, but they dont know what we know. Like the captain, our friends on the left try to threaten those with real knowledge into silence, but like Luke, Brent Bozell wont be silenced. Like Luke, too, Brent can take a shot and remain defiant.

What I have particularly appreciated about Brents work with the Media Research Center is that he enables us to know at least what they think they know. It is that unflinching knowledge of both sides of any issue that makes a conservative out of a liberal, and it is the reason why conservatives always outscore liberals on political knowledge tests.

Many of us started on the left. A baby boomer like Brent, I was the unofficial block captain of the preteens for JFK club in my vestigial Irish Catholic neighborhood. Like many conservatives, I had to learn my way out of a liberal ghetto. Virtually all the voices around me in the turbulent sixties were telling me, Go left, young man.
