Aziz Sheikh is Professor of Primary Care Research & Development and Director of the Usher Institute of Population Health Sciences and Informatics at The University of Edinburgh. He also serves as Co-Director of Harvard Medical Schools Safety, Quality and Informatics Leadership (SQIL) Program. He is one of the worlds most published academicians and has advised governments on health information technology in Europe, North America, and Asia. He holds fellowships from seven learned societies, including the American College of Medical Informatics, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and the Academy of Medical Sciences. He was made an officer of the British Empire in 2014 for his Services to medicine and healthcare.
