For Dr. Stella Pecot Robinson, who risked her life registering voters in the South in the 1940s and who never let fear or intimidation deter her from fighting for the freedom of her children yet unborn, and for Vernon Robinson, Jr., a valiant Tuskegee Airman who defeated fascism abroad and paved the way to desegregate the armed forces at home. They are among the thousands of unsung heroes who worked hard to secure full rights for African Americans. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for instilling in me a love of country and passing the torch of freedom along to me.
Vernon Robinson III
And, for Connor, Andrew, Sean and Ryan Livingstone. May you enjoy and appreciate the freedom that millions before you have worked and sacrificed so much to preserve. God willing, your generation will be up to the task of defending and preserving freedom for those who come after you. May those efforts be blessed with success.

INTRODUCTION
A t just 28 years of age, Abraham Lincoln understood where the real danger to our republic would come from. He presciently spoke these words before the Young Mens Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois, on January 27, 1838:
At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher.
In this address, Lincoln was of course referring to the danger of America being torn apart by a civil war, which in fact took place just 23 years later. Indeed, on November 19, 1863, after the bloody battle at Gettysburg, Lincoln began his address to the gathered crowd with these words that defined the essence of the struggle:
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.
Although there are no men or women dying in violent battles on American soil today, the danger to the existence of our republic posed by those on the extreme left has never been greater. There can be no doubt that we are engaged in a battle for the soul of America and for the virtues and values that make freedom possible. The question that Lincoln posed in the Gettysburg Address remains: Can any nation so conceived and so dedicated long endure?
The sad truth is that the once great Democratic Party, the party of Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, and yes, Bill Clinton, has been hijacked by radical leftists who despise our Founders, reject our republican form of government, spurn traditional American values, and seek to impose cradle-to-grave government control over our lives. Formerly relegated to the fringe of American politics, these far-left radicals have seized control of todays Democratic Party. Old line liberal Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi have made a deal with the Devil by allowing these dangerous radicals into their party, and we are witnessing the disaster that will befall America if these radicals complete their takeover of the U.S. government.
These new radical Democrats espouse a particularly harsh form of socialism and all-powerful government that is sure to lead to the end of America as we know it. Because they are unable to understand that imperfect human beings will never create a perfect society, they reject the idea that America was ever great. They endeavored to create a government with checks and balances that would limit the power of any individual or any political party, knowing that too much power in the hands of any person would be a threat to individual freedom.
But these radicals who either dont believe in God or see no use for Him reject the idea that human nature cannot be improved. Like all would-be dictators before themRobespierre, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Mao, Castro, Chvez, Maduro, Ortegathey believe that they can create the perfect society. The dreams of such utopians always lead to the nightmare of dictatorship that ends the rule of law, chokes off human freedom, and creates universal misery and poverty. As Ben Shapiro put it, Those systems of thought, in the absence of God, end with the gulags, they end with the gas chambers. They end in terrible places.
Repelling this threat to the United States and to our republican form of government is the challenge of our times. It is a battle that must be joined by every freedom-loving American if our children and grandchildren are to enjoy the liberty, civility, decency, and prosperity we inherited from those who came before us.
To be clear, this book is not just about resisting the onslaught of these dangerous radicals but about triumphing over them. We believe that a big step toward that goal can happen in 2020 if Donald Trump wins in a historic landslide that repudiates socialism and decimates todays radical Democratic Party. Working together, we believe we can overwhelmingly defeat these radicals and drive them back into the fringes of Americas political landscape, where they belong.
Why are the authors of this book so certain that Donald Trump can rout the radical left in 2020? The answer is a secret that we learned from studying the 2016 presidential campaign. It is the key to a sweeping win by Donald Trump in 2020. On the surface it sounds almost innocuous, but the political ramifications are nothing less than earthshaking. This is what we learned.
In 2016, for the first time in nearly 60 years, a Republican candidate for president, Donald J. Trump, received more than 20 percent of the black vote in the key swing state of Pennsylvania. More than 140,000 black Pennsylvanians voted for Trump, making it possible for him to be elected president of the United States. Thats right: Black Americans not only gave Donald Trump his margin of victory in Pennsylvania but did the same thing in the key state of Michigan. In reality, it was black Americans who made the election of President Trump possible.
Skeptics may cite the fact that in 2016 a number of all-black precincts in Philadelphia voted 100 percent for Hillary Clinton. That is true. However, those on welfare and in poverty in those precincts account for just 21.2 percent of the total black population. The remaining 78.8 percent of the black population, those who have jobs, live as far away as possible from those dangerous areas. Black Americans who are working and are above the poverty line were clearly the source of Trumps support in 2016.
