Dilip Ghosh, PhD, FACN, is an international speaker, facilitator and author and Director at NutriConnect & Food Nutrition Partner in Australia; Honorary Ambassador, Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) and adjunct at NICM, University of Western Sydney. Dr Ghosh is a food/nutritional, nutraceuticals and natural medicine specialist based in Sydney, Australia. He is an advisor and executive board member of Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association (HADSA), India.

His research interests include oxidative stress, bioactive, clinically proven functional food and natural medicine development, regulatory and scientific aspects of functional foods, nutraceuticals and herbal medicines. He has been involved for a long time in drug development and nutraceutical research and development and its commercialisation, both in academic and industry domains.

Dr Ghosh has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as numerous articles in food and nutrition magazines and books. His most recent book is Pharmaceuticals to Nutraceuticals: A Shift in Disease Prevention (CRC Press, 2017). Dr Ghosh is review editor for Frontiers in Nutrigenomics (2011 to present), the American Journal of Advanced Food Science and Technology (2012 to present), the Journal of Obesity and Metabolic Research (2013 to present), the Journal of Bioethics (2013 to present). He is also an associate editor and member of Toxicology Mechanisms and Methods, (20062007) and a columnist with Nutraceuticals World.

Pulok K. Mukherjee, PhD, FRSC, FNASc, is the Director of the School of Natural Product Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, and presently the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, JU. His research and academic work highlights traditional medicine inspired by drug discovery from Indian medicinal plants with a major emphasis on validation of Indian medicinal plants, their formulation and standardisation, metabolomic profiling and safety documentation, which are useful bio-prospecting tools for the traditional medicinebased drug discovery programme. He has made several innovative and outstanding contributions in academics and research in the areas of natural product studies, ethnopharmacology and evidence-based validation of herbs used in AYUSH.
