Rising from the Ruins: The Right of the 21st Century: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Rising from the Ruins: The Right of the 21st Century" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

The liberal order that defined the latter half of the 20th century is collapsing under the growing weight of its conflicts and contradictions. It threatens to pull European civilization and the peoples who created it with it in its fall. This is no time for liberal reformism; the present moment is a Gordian knot of urgent crises. A significant part of our civilization lies already in ruins, if not always physically. Even so, there is reason for optimism: a number of challengers to the crumbling liberal order have appeared. This book is both a depiction of the rubbled landscape surrounding us, and an overview of the challengers who are rising from the ruins. Touching on everything from the Italian CasaPound, Alexander Dugin and the Danish Tidehverv, to the New Right, the American Alt-Right and Donald Trump, this book analyzes the key success and risk factors of those men and movements that might lead our civilization and our peoples to create a new historical order.

A Note from the Translator

This book collects a broad range of perspectives from the rich heritage of modern political thought and action relevant for a 21st century Right. By necessity it is terse. Nonetheless, owing to its peculiar arrangement, it is vivid. As a backdrop, Andersen sets forth a perspective of society and civilization as a high culture or living organism or entity. There have been several civilizations before ours, and there are common traits shared by their life-processes. Ours is no special snowflake; it too takes part in the structure of various phases and sub-phases of rise and decline. This is whats called the civilizational perspective assumed by the author, and in relation to which he selects and arranges strains of thought (to establish a diagnosis) and methods of activism (to treat the rot) to form a tool box for todays fighter of the Right.

Aiding me in the work of translating this book, and to whom I owe a debt of gratitude, is first and foremost Jacob Bohlin, but also Lina Everby, Josef Lagerskog, Simon Gustafsson, Matti Ravander, Nicholas Miles, and Erik Westman. Besides being true friends they have done a considerable part of the gross translation, thus contributing to getting this important work out to an English-speaking audience.

Foreword by Daniel Friberg

Entering the New Paradigm

Weve recently experienced a couple of eventful years, marked by populist victories and globalist defeats, ranging from the Trump presidency to referendums on EU membership in Great Britain, immigration in Hungary and the constitution in Italy. This trend is bound to continue in the years to come. The populist and nationalist right, or what we refer to as the true right, will continue scoring political victories and the liberal globalists will suffer further defeats in the years ahead. It is clear that we have entered a new paradigm.

Many of you might ask how we can best make use of this momentum. What should we do next? I have some points of advice:

1. Keep doing what weve already been doing. In terms of metapolitics, crush the final remnants of political correctness and keep building our own platforms for news, debate, politics and socializing. Since our current strategy is obviously working, lets do more of the same, but lets intensify our efforts and get even more professional.

2. Maintain a positive attitude. Even if our streets might be burning from cultural enrichment, remember that our liberal-leftist opponents have already lost. They have just not stopped breathing yet. Keep this in mind, and spread positive, encouraging messages to raise morale in our ranks and potential recruits. People want to join the winning side. Show them that we are winning and that were never going to tire of it.

3. Have large families. Feminism and the degeneracy of potential partners are not valid excuses. We are currently fighting a demographic war, a war which we have been losing. Lets turn that around and make sure that nationalist and traditionalist Europeans are the ones who pass their heritage on in the largest numbers. Get married as early as possible, and have four children or more, thus ensuring that future Europeans are our descendants, rather than those of colonizing minorities or deranged political opponents.

4. Emerge from the shadows. Many of us have suffered under the soft totalitarianism of the PC establishment for several decades. Not so much anymore. It is understandable that some of you cannot openly take a stand for our ideas due to extremely sensitive career choices. If that is the case, consider changing your career in order to become more independent and less vulnerable to attacks from our opponents. There are of course cases of individuals who can do more good by keeping below the radar and working covertly from within the system. But more often than not this is just a lame excuse to make people feel better about themselves, and the real reason is often pure cowardice.

The time of cowardice has come to an end; the time to make a stand and to challenge our enemies openly has arrived. Embrace this necessity, and stand with us. Those who know the gravity of the situation but choose to stay passive and hidden are little better than the very people working against us. Ask yourself: is it really a worthy goal to spend the rest of your life accumulating wealth working for a bank or multinational company while our civilization goes up in flames? Choose your path wisely.

Those who read this are likely not cowards or passive bystanders, and by reading this book you will get a unique overview of the most interesting currents of anti-globalist resistance rising up from the ruins to save our European civilization in the eleventh hour. The author, Joakim Andersen, is not only a long-time friend and associate of mine, he is also perhaps the foremost intellectual of our movement in Scandinavia, as well as one of the more significant ideological influences, not only for me, but for numerous others as well. I was therefore greatly honored when he asked that I write this foreword to his very first book.

As mentioned before, we are living in the eleventh hour, and it is imperative that you do as much as possible to contribute to our forthcoming, inevitable victory. Disregard all the defeatist claims that its already too late. It is never too late. Our current demographic situation is certainly less than ideal, to put it mildly, and it is most likely unavoidable that through low birthrates and violent ethnic conflicts, we will see our European populations severely decimated during the coming decades. But that is certainly no reason to give up. During some of its highest peaks, our European civilization consisted of ten percent of todays population or even less; as long as there are still Europeans breathing, it is always possible to rebuild. And so we will. There are simply no other options.

With this book, and the other titles recommended in the reading list at the end, you will get the proper ideological and strategic foundation to become a more productive member of the alternative, true right and our fierce resistance to the globalists destructive and failing agenda. Make use of this knowledge, and put it into action.

Heroic deeds await you.

Preface

Greetings, dear reader. This book was originally intended as an introduction to the growing resistance against the liberal order (broadly speaking the true Right). It was written in Swedish and intended for Swedish readers, and many of the examples in the book are taken from Sweden. For some readers this might provide an insight into Swedish history; the Young Right and the Gothicists especially should be every bit as inspiring, as the current establishment in my country is bad. Readers less interested in Sweden can skip those parts without missing anything essential to the book. The book can be read in two ways. It can be read from beginning to end; it is then a dramatic story about a failing liberal order and its challengers. But you can also jump between chapters, choosing the parts that seem useful in your circumstances. The book is intended as something of a toolbox or armory, describing several different milieus and groups. I do not agree fully with any of the groups described, and probably neither do you, but all of them have developed useful perspectives and methods.
