Colin Alexander
Colin Alexander is Senior Lecturer in Political Communications at Nottingham Trent University, UK. In 2013 he was a Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) scholar studying Taiwans public diplomacy. His current research focuses on political communications in colonial and postcolonial societies and involves comparative studies of Taiwan and other Asia states. Recent publications include China and Taiwan in Central America: Engaging Foreign Publics in Diplomacy (2014) and The Communication of International Development Assistance: The Case of the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF), Journal of Global Governance (2015).
Stefan Braig is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Asian and Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese and Korean Studies, University of Tbingen, Germany. He is also Managing Director of the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan A CCK Foundation Overseas Center (CCKF-ERCCT). He specializes in Taiwanese domestic politics, primarily local politics. His current research focuses on the local party organization of the Kuomintang in central and southern Taiwan.
Richard Bush is a senior fellow at The Brookings Institution and the holder of the Chen-fu and Cecilia Yen Koo Chair in Taiwan Studies. He also directs the Center for East Asia Policy Studies. He has served for 19 years in the US government, in the House of Representatives, the National Intelligence Council, and as Chairman and Managing Director of the American Institute in Taiwan. He has written several books on Taiwan and cross-Strait relations, including Untying the Knot: Making Peace in the Taiwan Strait (2005) and A War Like No Other: The Truth About Chinas Challenge to America (2007).
Mu-Min Chen is Associate Professor and Chair at the Graduate Institute of International Politics, and Director of the Center for Strategic Studies on South Asia and the Middle East, National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan. He specializes in international security theory, Chinese foreign policy, TaiwanChina relations, and regional politics and security in South Asia. Major publications include India and China in the Emerging Dynamics of East Asia (co-edited, 2015), and New Perspectives on South Asia (in Chinese, co-edited, 2015).
Isabelle Cheng is a Senior Lecturer in East Asian and International Development Studies at the School of Languages and Area Studies of the University of Portsmouth, UK. She is also a Research Associate at the Centre of Taiwan Studies of the School of Oriental and African Studies. She serves on the Board of the European Association of Taiwan Studies. Her research interests are marriage migration, citizenship, multiculturalism and gender.
Chun-Chieh Chi is a Professor at the Department of Ethnic Relations and Culture and head of the Indigenous Culture and Communication Center, National Dong-Hwa University, Taiwan. His current research focuses on indigenous land and resource issues in Taiwan, indigenous peoples movements in Taiwan, and indigenous vulnerability and resilience under climate change. Publications include The Green, Green Landscape of Home: The Rejection of Industrial Growth and Embracing Green Growth in Yi-Lan County, Taiwan (2014) and The Idea of Country: Reframing post-disaster recovery in indigenous Taiwan settings, (2014, co-authored).
