Trevor Buck (co-editor)
Faculty of Law, University of Leicester. He was formerly legal adviser to the Social Fund Commissioner (1993-96) and is the author of a legal textbook on the social fund. He is the course director of a social welfare law Masters degree and a member of the executive committee of the Socio-Legal Studies Association. His teaching and research interests lie in the field of social welfare law, administrative law and socio-legal methodology. He was the co-organiser (with Roger Smith) of the conference Reforming the Social Fund held in Leicester in November 2001 which prompted the production of this volume.
Sharon Collard
Research Fellow, Personal Finance Research Centre, University of Bristol. Her main research interests are: access to financial services among low-income households and the provision and quality of money advice services. Sharon is currently working on a number of projects including a study of pawnbroking and payday loans in the UK, the use of community select committees to evaluate policy initiatives and an evaluation of the governments saving gateway pilot schemes. Gary Craig
Professor of Social Justice at the University of Hull, UK, President of the International Association for Community Development, and an Academician of the Academy of Learned Societies in the Social Sciences.
