I dedicate this book to my God. It is HIS Book, just as everything in creation is HIS. All of creation was brought into existence by His will alone. But then He gives to each of us opportunities to be part of His creative work, a chance to get our fingers, feeble as they may be, into His creative work. I remember working with my earthly father remodeling and building onto to our house. Dad was a carpenter. Many of the things I did when I was little, working with him, were clumsy and slow, and I know he could have done them so much better and faster himself. But he let me get my hands into the work with him. Not for him, but for me , to give me a part in the final work, and a sense of pride and accomplishment, that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. And so my heavenly Father has allowed me to get my hands into His work, not for Himself, but for me, to give me a little piece of the accomplishment with Him. I know that He could have done this so much better Himself, but like the patient father He is, He let me do it, guided me, helped me, and Im sure at times just watched me while shaking His head at my slow and clumsy efforts, but He bore with me and let me do it. I Thank You Lord, for your guidance, your help, for all the people you put into my life at the right times to help me, and most of all for your loving pati ence.
I also Dedicate this book to my mother and father, who taught me the most important values in life: God, family, country, the dignity of hard work, responsibility, and self-reli ance.
I dedicate this to my wife Maria who joined me in my life journey and shares the same life values, struggles and joys wit h me.

First of all, I want to Thank my God for allowing me to do this and for giving me everything I needed, when I needed it, to get it accomplished. Among the gifts and helps He gave me were:
My mom and dad who taught me my fundamental values through their example: My dad taught me the value and satisfaction of hard work, and most of all he taught me self-control, self-reliance and self-discipline. He taught me how to be a man. For as long as I can remember, from my earliest childhood, I wanted to be a man, primarily because I wanted to grow up to be like him. My father risked his life fighting fascism all through France, Belgium and Germany in World war II, and my mother prayed all the while to God, to bring him back, promising that she would take him in whatever condition he would b e in.
My wife, who put up with me so many weekends and evenings while I ignored her as I worked on this and sometimes even snapped at her. Most of all she provided me with a home where I could work in peace. I guess some writers have a den or office where they can work undisturbed. I wrote this sitting on the couch in the living room with my laptop on my lap, TV on, birds squawking, it didnt matter. Maria gives me a home free from the distractions of pressure, arguments, and melodrama; a place where I can work with the internal peace that just drowns out any external noise or interruptions. And she believed in me, encouraged me and supported me all the way. I could not have done this without her support. She makes me believe in my self.
Taylor Birk and the staff at Christian Faith Publishing for deciding to accept my manuscript, and then working so hard to bring it to a completed work and get it out for distribution. It is amazing how God put all of these people in my life just when I needed each one of them.
I also want to acknowledge the Brave men and women of the United States military forces. They stand on the front lines in many countries to defend Americans at home. Their courage and sacrifice give me the ability to sit here and write, safe from all foreign enemies. They keep the fight off of American soil. The one enemy they cannot fend off alone is the one from within, the one Nikita Khrushchev warned us about. To any active military and military veterans reading this book, I pledge my loyalty to you in defending America from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic . I am with you no matter what.
I also have to acknowledge the courage and patriotism of President Donald Trump. In his fight to return control of America back to Americans, he has brought into sharp focus the conflict between those of us who want to keep America and those who want to take America away from us. Never has the conflict between these two ever been in such stark cont rast.
Introduc tion
I dont know who you are or what may have possessed you to pick up this book. But Im glad you did. Let me tell you who I am, and more importantly, who and what I am not . I am a simple working man. I started out as a merchant seaman, a marine engineer working in shipboard engine rooms. When I came ashore, I did blue-collar work as a stationary engineer working in power plants for about twenty years and then moved into power plant training. I believe all of us have gifts given to us by God. My gift is that I am a pretty good teacher: good at breaking things down and simplifying them. Im particularly good at making abstract concepts, such as entropy and reactive power, more concrete and understandable, visible. I am not a politician a political science major, or a philosopher. Those are dangerous people. They cause more confusion than they cure. Too often, for their own political agenda to deliberately lead or mislead people who are searching for someone to believe in and trust. Most often, their main agenda is simple: two words: POWER and CON TROL.
Im just an ordinary working man: Joe Lunchbucket. About as ordinary as you will ever find, and I am not trying to get anything from you. I am not running for office, I have no campaign fund for you to contribute to. All I want is to help people understand some basic truths about what America is and should always be: the greatest, strongest, freest, richest country the world has ever known. I do have my selfish motives. If we lose America, we all lose her; me, my children, grandchildren, and all generations that follow. And there are forces out there that want to change America into something else, something it was never meant to be. Dont take my word for it; you can see for yourself. Just turn on the TV and tune in to any of the mainstream media news channels. There they are. Too often, anyone who makes that suggestion is blown off as a conspiracy theorist xenophobic, racist, or whatever. But the fact is that there are forces trying to tear down America from the inside. Why? One reason: POWER! Just like our struggles on the international front, our struggle on the domestic front is all about P OWER.
It is easy to understand why the heads of foreign governments want to tear America down. To take over control of the richest, most powerful nation the world has ever known. But why would Americans want to take down America? Simple! Its all about power and control. In this book, I will try show and explain that because it is vitally important for all Americans to understand what we are up against. America didnt just become the greatest, freest, strongest, richest country in the world by accident. It took the wisdom, courage, blood, and sweat of our Founding Fathers, and in many cases their very lives, and the blessings of God, to give birth to this great nation. And it has and will continue to require the wisdom, courage, blood, and sweat and, when necessary, the lives of her citizens and the blessings of God to keep this great nation strong, free, and safe for ourselves and our children and grandchildren. When we understand our opponents, we can effectively defend ourselves from them. Without understanding the opponents, we fall into their traps and even become unwitting aides in their cause. Freedom is at stake: freedom for yourself, your children and for generations to come. We better be seriously committed to defending it because the opposition is deadly serious about taking it away from you.
