Kevin P. Winn is a childrens book writer and researcher. He focuses on issues of racial justice and
educational equity in his work. In 2020, Kevin earned his doctorate in Educational Policy and Evaluation
from Arizona State University.
Kelisa Wing honorably served in the U.S. Army and has been an educator for 14 years. She is the author
of Promises and Possibilities: Dismantling the School to Prison Pipeline , If I Could: Lessons for Navigating
an Unjust World , and Weeds & Seeds: How to Stay Positive in the Midst of Lifes Storms . She speaks both
nationally and internationally about discipline reform, equity, and student engagement. Kelisa lives in
Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.
