Many people in the United States have a good life. Their homes are warm in the winter. They can see a doctor when they are sick. There is food on the table. The poor can get help for their basic needs. People live longer than ever before.
The United States is a powerful nation. Men and women in the military are trained to protect the people. They help out when sudden dangers occur around the world. They bring supplies to people in need.

The Great Lakes These five lakes are a part of the border with Canada.
