About the editors and authors
Dr Peter Jacksonis deputy director of the International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies at Oxford Brookes University (UK). He teaches on the MA programme in Coaching & Mentoring Practice, the professional doctorate in Coaching, and on the Centres professional development programme in Coaching Supervision. He has published on reflective practice, coaching supervision and physicality in coaching. His coaching practice has a particular focus on the challenges of general management and the dynamics of individual change within organisations.Dr Elaine Coxis a senior lecturer within the International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies at Oxford Brookes University. She is an experienced researcher, author and editor and also supervises doctoral students.
Elaine has a comprehensive knowledge of research approaches and methods and their application to coaching research and her current research projects are focused upon aspects of managerial and leadership coaching. In addition to authoring a number of books and research articles, Elaine is the founding editor of the International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching and Mentoring.Tatiana Bachkirovais Professor of Coaching Psychology and Director of the International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies at Oxford Brookes University, UK. She is a recognised author, international speaker and a coaching supervisor.Teresa Carmichael.At Wits University in South Africa, Teresas scholarly focus on the discipline of qualitative research (particularly grounded theory and action research) means that she teaches and supervises students at MBA, specialist masters and PhD levels. She is an active researcher and widely published across a variety of disciplines, and rounds off her academic activities with MOOC development and facilitating student writing programmes.Natalie Cunninghamenjoys a multiplicity of roles: Research Associate at GIBS, University of Pretoria; a coach and leadership development educator, coach practitioner, researcher and author.Christine Daviesis Programme Director for the Doctorate in Professional Practice programme at UWTSD, and a doctoral supervisor. An experienced education professional, she was initially a researcher in biomedical sciences, and continues to teach and promote a quantitative approach to research.Andrea D. Ellingerrecently retired as a Professor in the Department of Human Resource Development in the Soules College of Business at The University of Texas at Tyler where she remains affiliated. Her research interests include informal learning, organisational learning and learning organisations, managerial coaching, mentoring, employee engagement, organisational change and development.Annette Fillery-Travisis a senior academic, doctoral supervisor and coach educator with an original background as a research scientist in biophysics. She is the Head of the Wales Academy for Professional Practice and Applied Research where she works with seasoned professionals wishing to take their practice to a more flourishing and innovative level.Juliette Koningis Professor in Organisational Studies and Director of the Research Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges at Oxford Brookes Business School, Oxford Brookes University. She has a PhD in social anthropology and a keen interest in ethnography to understand the complexities and dynamics of how things work.Rochell R. McWhorteris an Associate Professor of Human Resource Development in the Soules College of Business at The University of Texas at Tyler. Her research interests include adult learning, virtual human resource development, virtual scenario planning, and qualitative research methods.Liam Mooreis a Learning and Development practitioner with a particular interest in coaching and mentoring. He has previously published research exploring the professional development of trainee coaches.Roger Noonis an executive coach and independent culture change consultant. He holds a masters in executive coaching (2013) and a doctorate in coaching and mentoring (2018).Alison Roseis a leadership development specialist and executive coach, with 20 years experience in senior roles in organisations such as RSA, Prudential UK, Santander and BAA. In 2016 she completed her doctorate on the topic of coaching in talent development programmes.Hany Shoukryis an honorary research associate at Oxford Brookes University. He is interested in participatory research to understand coaching from a social perspective, and to develop coaching approaches that support emancipatory development in individuals, as well as social change.
