This book will assist you on the path of accessing pleasure to awaken your purpose and empower your entire being. The use of crystals in this work serves two primary functions. One is to act as a support system and grounding element so that you know you are safe, secure, and protected as you explore your sexual, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The other is to act as conduits to your own higher realms of understanding. You see, you already hold the answers you seek inside of you; its just about being open enough to integrate them into your daily life. Crystals themselves do not heal. Crystals aid your natural healing abilities by facilitating movement within your energetic system (otherwise known as your chakras).

We will begin this journey by addressing your current mindset. If you are open, you wont need any specific belief system to benefit from the practices contained in this book. You will learn how to use crystals to help sensitize yourself to the subtle energies of the universe. Whether or not you currently feel a connection to these forces, you will learn how to interact with and benefit from them for the purpose of self-realization. You will learn how crystals are formed and how to choose the appropriate ones for you. You will learn how to charge and cleanse your crystals in order to harness their countless benefits. This will be supplemented with information about your chakras and how they reveal themselves in different areas of your life. You will be given tools for keeping your chakra system healthy using crystal therapy and sensual exercises.

Many books on chakras only briefly touch upon the sexual potency of the chakra system. However, through my work as a provider of crystals dedicated to healing through sexual expression and self-love practices, I have discovered that when one is able to connect on any of these levels, ones sexual energy increases. It feels sexy to be connected to primal instincts (root chakra). It feels sexy to have a drive to relate to others (sacral chakra). It feels sexy to be empowered by the belief that you can manifest whatever you want (solar plexus chakra). It feels sexy to have an open heart and to give and receive love freely (heart chakra). It feels sexy to openly express creativity and ideas (throat chakra). It feels sexy to listens to your intuition (third eye chakra). It feels sexy to be connected to source energy (crown chakra). And feeling sexy is an empowered state of being. Sexy people radiate self-possession, curiosity, and compassion.

In a world that is becoming increasingly disconnected and de-sensitized, we need to reclaim what we crave most: intimacy and connection. It may seem that with all the apps for dating, hook-up culture, divorce rates, fewer marriages, and porn addictions, society is leaning toward a superficial reality based on technology. This may cause you to feel alone in your pursuit. I once felt this way too.

Since puberty, I felt alone in my ideals of connection, love, and sex. It seemed that among my peers, I was the outcast who wanted to wait until I truly felt in love to have sex. I always believed that my own sexuality would develop once I felt connected with another person. This perception was altered when I lost my virginity at the age of seventeen to a boyfriend who did not ask for my consent. This story is quite common. I continue to hear experiences at workshops from people who share it. When your first introduction to sex is not a positive one, it is usually difficult to release the feelings you may have repressed from those experiences, especially if you are young and still developing emotional intelligence. After my experience, I made the conscious decision to not feel as if I were a victim but rather to fall in love with my boyfriend, so that I could develop an inkling of that feeling I wanted. But after six years of this relationship, I finally realized that I was repressing my true feelings, that I was disassociating from my body during sex, and that pleasure (sex) was something I was giving but not fully receiving in return.

Perhaps what I had attempted to do was noble. After all, lying to myself through the years to shield myself from pain was the best tool I had to help me cope. But I picked up a new tool, finally, that would help change my life forever. On our way cross-country from New York to California to pursue careers in music, my boyfriend and I stopped at a crystal shop in Arizona. I was immediately drawn to the crystals, remembering cracking geodes with my family at the bluffs on Long Island when I was a child. This was part of my story I had forgotten. Admiring the beauty and discovering the majesty of the earth used to be something I loved. At this little shop, each crystal had attributes ascribed to it on slips of paper. One represented creativity; another, guidance. I purchased these stones and took them with me on my journey. Just like that, I had a new tool. Self-reflection.

As I grew older, I knew that if I wanted to be happy in my life, I needed to make a change. I needed to reclaim the pleasure of my body and connect to myself so that I would feel empowered to set boundaries. I needed to tune into what I had been ignoring in my relationshipmy sense of self and my connection to spirit. I thought back to the views on sexuality I had before Id met my boyfriend and decided that even if my attitudes of sexuality hadnt been popular among my peers, I owed it to myself to give them the attention they deserved and to accept who I was.

I dedicated myself to expanding my knowledge of crystals and energy healing and would eventually earn certifications in Reiki. I took a part-time job at an adult shop to educate myself on sexuality and be around sex-positive people who could help me to better understand the sexual desires I hadnt been addressing. I learned about every sex toy on the market, but I knew that I needed more knowledge than how to have a great orgasm. I needed to heal myself of the sexual and emotional traumas I had endured, re-inhabit my body, and keep my heart open to love. It was the combination of these needs that led me to create the Chakrub, a crystal specially designed for intimate use. I founded Chakrubs, The Original Crystal Sex Toy Company, because I felt that this method for healing myself could also benefit others. As I continue to learn and share many wonderful stories of self-healing through crystal energy, this modality is becoming better recognized around the world.
