Acknowledgements
I feel blessed to have this opportunity to write and publish a book with the intention of helping people make more conscious choices about their health and healing. Putting my thoughts and experience into words to share with all of you who are reading this book has been an exciting process.
I am deeply grateful to a handful of people who have supported me through this process, from thinking about writing a book to making it happen.
I would especially like to thank Joshua Rosenthal and Lindsey Smith for their steadfast support and inspiration I needed to write this book and have it published. I am so grateful for their words of wisdom and encouragement that kept me moving forward.
I am also grateful to my life coach, Felicia Searcy, and the women in my mastermind group who have held the space for me to find my voice and step into the vision I desire for my life.
A special thank you to Richard Kelly, graphic artist, for his artistic ideas and multiple revisions of my book cover; Kaitlyn Kulp, editor, for spending endless hours proofreading and editing my manuscript; and to Melissa DiLuzio who has added love, laughter, and support to my life as a peer coach and friend.
Last, but not least, I want to thank my husband, my soul mate, Bob, who has been a blessing in my life and a constant support for me on my chosen career path.

Introduction
As long as we are alive, we have the ability to heal ourselves. Our bodies have an amazing capacity to adapt to our environment, digest the foods we eat, renew and restore energy levels during the hours we sleep, recover from infections, heal cuts, and mend broken bones. We can even give birth to another human being after a nine month gestational period. Every day our bodies are performing miraculous functions that we often take for granted. We wake up in the morning having faith our bodies will get us through another day, regardless of what we eat, drink, breathe, think, or experience.
So, why is it that while we all have this amazing innate capacity to heal, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, autism, digestive disorders, and auto immune diseases are manifesting in record numbers? One in 68 children are showing symptoms that fall within the autism spectrum and adult onset type 2 diabetes is no longer exclusive to adults. Obesity in America has become epidemic in the young and old alike. Hospitals are overflowing with sickness and drugs are being handed out like cotton candy. People everywhere are suffering from chronic health conditions that are showing up in a variety of ways. Every day I see people with complaints of low energy, digestive distress, stubborn weight loss, headaches, sugar cravings, chronic pain, auto-immune disorders, inflammation, allergies, and more. I see teenagers and young adults on antidepressants and anxiety medications. People are getting sicker while traditional health care has become a disease management process.
I do not believe we are victims of our present health challenges or genetics. We have the ability to make different choices at any time and we have total control over what we eat, drink, think, and feel. It is time to get back on track with authentic healing to restore balance and harmony in our bodies and our lives. We are very creative, powerful human beings who can turn anything around if we are willing to take full responsibility for ourselves. We do not have to accept present conditions as set in stone. We need to recognize that our bodies communicate to us on a daily basis. So often, we get distracted with daily dramas and ignore the subtle signals coming from inside our bodies that are meant to alert us of something that needs our attention. Our bodies are vehicles that allow us to experience exquisite sensations and emotions in our daily lives through our senses. Sadly, for so many that sensory input gets numbed out with food, alcohol, and even drugs. The body is slowly forced into a quiet submission, silencing the channels of communication. Is it any wonder then why so many conditions become chronic and even debilitating?
I have been working as a holistic health care practitioner for over fifteen years after being a massage therapist for ten. During this time, I have had the privilege to support hundreds of people on their journey back to health and well-being from many different afflictions of the body. I first learned the body had a language of its own when I worked as a massage therapist. Touch is a non-verbal form of communication and a very powerful tool for healing. My fingers would feel the soft tissue respond to touch of my hands during a massage session. Sometimes it would be a release of tension while other times it would be a spontaneous expression of emotion that had been held deep in the cells of the body. I witnessed how limiting core beliefs held in the body created patterns of tension and imbalance as well. As I furthered my education and training over the years, I observed a connection between the health of the physical body and what was going in the consciousness of the individual. Unresolved issues, stress, limiting beliefs, and negative thought patterns were connected in some manner to the manifestation of the physical problems.
In the pages that follow, I want to expand your awareness of steps you can take to restore balance and regain your health through a greater understanding of what is needed for healing to take place. True and lasting healing is not found in a drug. I will share some stories from people I have personally worked with, who chose to empower themselves in their own healing process instead of suppressing their symptoms with drugs and succumbing to a dis-ease process. What is needed for healing is going to vary from person to person. Two people can display the same physical symptoms, but with different causal factors. I want you to know that it is never too late to get back on track, no matter where you have gotten off course or what you may be experiencing right now.
