I HAVE HEARD IT SAID THAT NO PERSON LIVES ABOVE HIS OR her dream. Everybody needs a dream because there is something life giving in it. A dream sustains the soul the way food sustains the body. Its a tragic thing to live with a starving soul.

This book is soul food.

A dream apart from God can often seem mystical and magical, something so distant and farfetched its almost unattainable. But everything changes when your dream comes from God.

God-sized dreams in the beginning seem impossible and improbable, but eventually they become inevitable. These dreams are incredible because they are not manifested by chance; they are manifested by choice. God chooses to give them, and you choose to dream them. This great big God has designed great big dreams for everyone at every stage of life. He has left no one out, not even you!

God designed and created you to not only dream but also to dream big. Every time you dream big, you are practicing and dress rehearsing your future. It important to realize that if God gave you a dream, then He is for you and for your dream. And if God is for you, and He is for your dream, who can stand against you?

You must never be surprised or alarmed to discover that when your dream is stirred within you, your dream killers are stirred against you. Every dreamer has to deal with dream killers. Dream killers are often disguised as situations, circumstances, close friends, or even family members. It can be your past, your pride, your fear, or even yourself. Regardless of the who or the what, youre about to be equipped with the how in overcoming every dream killer of life.

In the pages of this book you will discover the power of a dream, learning firsthand from one of the greatest dreamers in history, Joseph. If you have never read his story, I encourage you to look it up in your Bible. You can find it in the Book of Genesis, beginning in chapter 37 and ending in chapter 50. Joseph never allowed his circumstances to stop him from dreaming big and aiming high. Against all odds he overcame every dream killer and assignment assassin that came against him.

I M A DADDYS BOY, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE TWENTY- AND fourteen-year-old daughters and a seven-year-old son. Although my father has been in heaven since 2005 and Im a grown man, still today Im a daddys boy. Ironically I am writing these words the Saturday night just before Fathers Day. And as I sit here preparing this book about dream killers, I cant help but think of the greatest dreamer I ever knew, my dad. I love him so much, and I miss him every day.
