I wish to thank both my parents, Rhonda and Steve, for giving me a work ethic and allowing me to think as I pleased when I was growing up. My father made it possible for me to write these words because he knew I could. He taught me the value of knowledge, including that which couldnt be externally verified in every respect and probably wouldnt be allowed in every space and time. My grandmother, Marvel, was a spiritual teacher in the art of compassion throughout her life, and it is her home that has shocked and awed so many of my clients with its extremely humane, grateful energy that never seems to stop.

Joseph Crane extended his prior knowledge of the seven spiritual gifts through his work with non-corporeal beings, including the one who led him and all who followed from a burning ship in the Tonkin Gulf during the Vietnam war. (You can read about that in On the Wings of Heaven .) Joe received his initial teachings on the master chakras from the great mind of Alexander Everett, New Age pioneer, who helped Joe listen to himself so he could respond back to such voices as the one that saved his life. Alexander studied all the religions of the world before teaching the seven spiritual gifts, known as soul-raysone of many approaches to human evolution. This text is informed by Alexanders teachings to Joe, and Joes direct teaching to me. Joe created the basic framework through which we understand the differences between the colors as we know them today. In this book, I have elaborated on Joes basic content for a wider audience and done as much as possible to keep the information clear for beginners.

There were many others who helped me learn what these seven spiritual gifts were all about and how to impart them to others. Among them were Robbie Nicolai, who gave me the energy to become a spiritual advisor and trusted me with the highest of her teachings. Also, Heidi Shelton-Oliver helped me indefatigably grasp what each spiritual gift was all about, showed me how to figure out more about them, and corrected me when I was wrong. She helped me understand deeply all seven colors so I could teach them to others. It was a big job, and it took a long time and a lot of trial and error. Heidi is still with me.

Even though Alexander introduced one of the largest nonreligious spiritual movements in the United States, and even though Joe teaches across the country in his Eden and Children of Life events, which you can join anytime, the fact that each one of us has a master chakra that is clearly recognizable remains one of the best kept secrets in spirituality.

My one-on-one clients, whom Ive helped move forward in their lives since 2013, are responsible for monetarily supporting me while I was working on this book, and inspired it in the first place. Paula Hoerner is a stand-out client who is now a partner in this work. How I even started being a teacher-healer takes another book; its a result of an improbable but incredible journey I went down with my teacher Dan Hanneman, who also taught me, Jill, and Tarek how to be healers.

Lastly, my fast friends and mastermind partnersLaurra Warneke and Jill Borsos, healers you can work withhave done countless things for me. They believe in the quality of my work as a writer, teacher, and healer. Each of them differently embodies the strength, support, compassion, and love of greens in their gifts.

Introduction

Chakras are energy centers in the body. Knowledge of the chakra system comes from the Vedic culture of India, which has a long spiritual tradition, and the chakras have been a major part of the philosophy of life for people there. This philosophy has both a scientific aspect and what we consider to be a religious one. The chakra system alone is able to describe all the qualities of what it means to be a human being on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. This is its power. Ive spent years studying the different energy centers and how they function.
