FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER, my mother always said, Wait until you live through your thirties, it has been the most incredible decade of my life to date. She would often refer to this as the decade where one is free from the internal battles with social pressures, body image, relationships, career, motherhood, and any other seemingly important topic in life. I used to roll my eyes at her. Since entering my thirties, I hear her voice in my head all the time. She wasnt wrong. I find myself feeling at peace within myself and if I am not at peace, I am comfortable enough with change to follow my heart. There is something so freeing about reaching a point in your life where your focus shifts from needing approval from others to suddenly needing approval from nobody but that beautiful face looking back at you in the mirror. When Ky-Lee and I discussed the possibility of this book, we envisioned it as being sarcastic and humorous while dissecting the serious topics and similarities of being a woman in her thirties. This book did not come to fruition in the way it was initially thought of; there isnt as much humor as originally envisioned however, there is an abundance of knowledge and wisdom from a diverse group of beautifully empowering women. Being a woman in her thirties in 2017 isnt easy, but shit we surely have so much to be thankful for! We are stronger, bolder, and more independent than generations before us. We have the freedom of choice. We have the courage, tenacity, and determination to follow our dreams. We are on the rise as entrepreneurs and business owners. We juggle so many roles at once and do so with grace, class, and success. The women showcased in this book are raw and authentic and share their journey with you, the reader, with nothing but hope to inspire and guide you to continue kicking ass at being your authentic self.

Im 30, Now What? will capture your attention from cover to cover. As you read through the sections you will find yourself immersed in the celebrations and challenges of being a thirty-something woman. As discussed in section one, millennials are viewing family and parenthood differently than the generations before them. Becoming a wife and a mother is a personal choice. Let these ladies squash societal expectations on what should be and help you validate yourself in whatever decision you make regarding your life. Let them share their experiences with you and shower you with the belief that there is no right or wrong choice when it comes to you taking on a life changing role. From there, section two and three are bound to be relatable to each and every one of you. These ladies are going to guide you through accepting that though life doesnt always go as planned, you can still learn to celebrate the beauty that unfolds when you appreciate the many opportunities you have received from life. They are also going to make you feel all the feels. Women just get it, you know what I mean?! They get that we have so much pressure ingrained in us from such an early age to be, act, dress, speak, and perform a certain way. These women are going to inspire you to overcome obstacles and expectations and just do and live life your way. Ladies, this book is going to take you to a place where you say f**k that! This book is going to make you appreciate that you are in charge of your own life. As a thirty something woman, you are wise enough to take life by the balls and make it your own. As you move into sections four and five, you will discover that being in your thirties is not always easy. Its not always pretty, but you will survive. These sections will take you through self-exploration, self-discovery and facing yourself. Often times, we have to go through our hardest times to discover our most rewarding times. These sections will guide you through that process. You will feel uplifted and empowered to face any adversity currently standing in your way. You will be shown that you are strong enough to get through anything, follow your dreams, change your mind, and change your life. You will be encouraged to rediscover who you are and who you want to be instead of who youve been elected to be or who youre supposed to be. Change can be scary and can throw you into the depths of the unknown, but change is constant. Why not learn to be in charge of it? Why not learn to embrace it? Why not learn to view it as an opportunity for growth? Let this book take you to a whole new level of yourself. Let this book inspire you to be vulnerable with yourself, set goals, smash the shit out of them, and be proud of who you are. Although this book is not what we once thought it would be, it is truly incredible. I am so grateful to be part of it. I am truly grateful that Ky-Lee asked me to write this foreword and I am truly grateful to have the honor to be in the company of such incredible women.

THIS BOOK CAME INTO FRUITION when one of my contributing authors, Kelly Rolfe, from Dear Stress, Im Breaking Up With You and the second volume, Dear Limits, Get Out Of My Way, and I had a talk about what to write next. Kelly also wrote the foreword for this book. She said it would be great to write for our age group. We have a sense of organized chaos at this point in our lives. She was saying how comical, depressing, and straight up weird the dating scene is now for our generation. I assume this is because half of our generation met their significant others in a traditional way, while half met in the online world, and the ones still searching are lumped into abundance to put it nicely, as literally millions of people are at your fingertips. I thought this book concept was a great idea, but for me, I have been with my spouse since I was a few weeks shy of age 20. I couldnt relate to her experience, but I was ever so curious about it and I could share from a different perspective thus making the book relatable to many! We decided that a blend of authors would talk about where they are at in life and how things look different from where we all thought we would be and where society required us to be. To share the diversity of our era and the 180 degree turn that most of us do when we hit the pivotal big 3-0. Naturally, this book took on a voice of ITS OWN and is the farthest thing from a dating book,
