The second edition came about because of the thousands of readers who embraced the notion of adventure careers and went forth to create their own adventures. They have inspired others, contributed immeasurably to society and found more fulfilling careers and lives than many of us ever do. Congratulations! This second edition is designed to update and extend the information and directories for the next generation of career explorers. To them, we can offer no better words than those of some of their predecessors.
