I wish to acknowledge people who have been an inspiration and loves of my life.

I honor my partner Sidney Lanier, Episcopal priest and artistic theater producer, who made his transition in 2013. He came and found me when I was not sure of my direction and said, Barbara, its conscious evolution! We founded the Foundation for Conscious Evolution together in 1993 with a grant from Laurance Rockefeller to bring forth the vision of humanitys conscious evolution. I would like to quote here a paragraph from his book The Sovereign Person: A Souls Call to Conscious Evolution:

The universe is in us. We are the fruit of the vine called terra mater, endeavoring to interiorize an intense focus of intelligence and intuitive feeling into a radiant cosmic person, a sentient microcosm that from its felt unity can germinate into an infinite series of differential manifestations transforming Matter into dynamic energy to create a galactic civilization from our planetary culture.

I thank my five children: Suzanne, Woodleigh, Alexandra, Lloyd, and Wade. My son Wade has passed but is much beloved. My children, my eight grandchildren, and I have built a family clan and a shared trajectory toward our conscious evolution, through life purpose, each in our own way, and for this I am grateful. I thank my eldest daughter, Suzanne, my partner in all our work and a pioneer in the discovery of the nature of the universal human and the application of conscious evolution in the daily lives of people everywhere.

I thank Patricia Gaul, executive director of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution, and her husband, Norman Kremer, who have helped to spread the message of conscious evolution, growing the foundation into a worldwide organization for the past fifteen years. I thank Lucky Sweeney for stepping in to repattern the foundation, and Jane Johnson for her exceptional social media and organizationally supportive contributions. And Teresa Collins and Marshall Lefferts, who first pioneered with me the way to use the internet to tell the new story of conscious evolution, as the first directors of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution.
