Words of Praise for
Seven Secrets
to Raising a Happy
and Healthy Child
Joyce presents an intriguing and novel exploration of
parenting, filled with a mothers love and common sense,
as well as an examination of Ayurvedic principles. Parenting
is always automatically a mind/body laboratory, and by
being explicit and thoughtful about mind/body principles,
we can greatly enhance the process. Accordingly, this
book enormously expands on what might seem obvious,
offering both concrete suggestions for what to do, as well
as presenting challenging concepts for why to do them.
The wisdom of the ages and the wisdom of a child
a perfect marriage for a book.
Daniel Einhorn, M.D., F.A.C.E.

W hen Joyce asked me to contribute the Foreword for this book, I agreed because of my interest in mind/body medicine. I became interested in this approach to medicine approximately seven years ago when I opened my womens health center. From several of my patients who are interested in a holistic approach to their health issues, I have learned how wonderful the combination of Western and Eastern medicine can be in treating a number of health problems. Several recent articles have discussed the scientific connection between mind and body, especially when dealing with stress. Certain disease states are treated more appropriately by Western medicine, and some more appropriately by Eastern approaches.
