For all those asking the big questions.

Imagine you were about to get your one big, burning life question answered what would you ask? Would you ask a question you hadnt ever wanted to be seen asking, a question you thought might inadvertently reveal your true feelings or desires? Or perhaps theres some part of your life youve always wanted to understand, to contextualise and illuminate why you are the way you are that might be your question. Many of us are asking important questions about the state of our planet and its people, and the very future of our world. Regardless of the kind of question, no doubt theres at least one percolating in your mind right now that you would love an answer to. So, really think about it: if you had the chance to ask your question, what would you ask? And, perhaps more importantly, would you be truly willing to receive the answer?

No matter our differences, we all ultimately ask the same big life questions. When will I find love? What happens when we die? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why did this happen to me? While there may not be a definitive answer to such questions, the current climate of our world certainly creates the perfect reason to now ask and explore such questions.

Ive asked my fair share of big, burning life questions. These questions and their answers led me to asking thousands and thousands more. Not all these questions were for me; Ive been busy asking for friends. And, no, I dont have thousands and thousands of friends (Im actually an introvert). Im more of a medium, literally asking for a friend. For the past thirteen years, Ive relayed myriad questions from my clients to the realm of spirit, using my abilities as a psychic, channel and spiritual medium (more on that in a moment) to help my clients answer their own big, burning questions. Over this time, Ive pretty much been asked everything and been equally surprised by many of the answers spirit served up, too.

Ive had clients ask me all kinds of things from the mundane questions regarding misplaced items through to whether they can engage in sex with a spirit (turns out, sexual energy can indeed be exchanged, but the physicality is rather difficult when one party lacks a body). Quickly enough, I concluded that these werent the kinds of questions and answers I enjoyed relaying.

It also didnt take me long to observe that everyone who came through my doors thought they were the only person asking me their one burning question. They werent. I essentially relayed the same messages (albeit with tweaks pertinent for the client before me) over and over again.

Sometimes I can be asked the essence of the same question by two different people and Ill answer it completely differently. Such answers arent merely a formulaic response. Rather, when I seek answers for someone, a lot goes on behind the scenes. Spirit looks at the big picture of someones life their current energetic set point, their current belief system and world view, their levels of self-love and what they believe is possible for them. Spirit is more interested in what that particular individuals soul path is so, Person A may need to take the job, make the change or take the step because its where they need to learn, while Person B is advised against it. Its not for them, and its not where they need to go to learn.

With that in mind, as you read these questions and answers, you might see yourself reflected in them. No matter how closely someones story or situation may resemble your own, please dont automatically assume the answers are right for you. Trust your own intuition and judgement for that (or work with someone who can tune into your path and purpose). Instead, notice what stands out for you, what jars you or even what advice you may want to offer these are all clues to the information you need to hear right now. Because such questions and answers are likely to produce even more personal questions for you, Ive included a Questions to Ask Yourself section at the close of each chapter. And, because I truly believe such questions will prompt an even deeper self-guided exploration (and I want you to remember your own powerful intuition), Ive also bundled up the best tips, tools and resources I couldnt fit into this book into a free down-loadable resource on my website. Youll find it at helenjacobs.co/ask, along with The Little Sage Oracle Cards, mentioned in the Questions to Ask Yourself sections and channelled through me from spirit.

Because there is no one-size-fits-all answer to lifes big questions, my personal mission has deepened from those early days as a psychic reader into more of a teacher and mentor. I believe its more important to help people understand how to answer questions for themselves than to keep answering their questions for them. When the nature of our personal questions changes,
