-MARILYN HICKEY

FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT, MARILYN HICKEY MINISTRIES

As a member of the church where I teach, I know that R. T. Kendall is passionate about prayer. That passion comes through in this book. As I read Did You Think to Pray? I was challenged to make prayer a more vital part of my own life. Did You Think to Pray? is practical, convicting, and provoking. I came away with both a deeper passion for prayer and practical next steps to pray more faithfully.

This is a fantastic book, perhaps the best I've read on the subject. It's challenging, forthright, practical, and has deeply affected my own prayer life.

-LYNDON BOWRING

This is a no-paddling-pool approach to prayer. RT presents the simple basics while inviting us to explore the depths of communion with Almighty God, our Father. Simple, comprehensive, and thoroughly motivating, this book fills in the gaps left by so many publications on this vital topic.

-COLIN DYE

SENIOR MINISTER, KENSINGTON TEMPLE, LONDON, ENGLAND

What an amazing, insightful, delightful, revelational, instructional, motivational, powerful book on a subject that all of us need to understand and practice more. Dr. Kendall has done it again. He has taken a truth that I need more revelation on and opened the windows of heaven! This book on prayer is a must read for every person who desires to move more of heaven to Earth.

-ROBERT MORRIS

SENIOR PASTOR, GATEWAY CHURCH, DALLAS/FORT WORTH, TEXAS

Since the spring of 1956, RT and I have enjoyed a "David and Jonathan" relationship forged during a spiritual awakening at Trevecca Nazarene College. RT was my student assistant and the pastor of a small Nazarene church in Palmer, Tennessee. RT's prayer life is unquestionably the well of both his anointed preaching and writing. This book reveals the heart of R. T. Kendall.

FOREWORD

Did You Think to Pray How to Listen and Talk to God Every Day about Everything - image 13 o ME, THE most profound fact about this must-read book is that it is written by a real man of prayer himself. I know Dr. R. T. Kendall to be committed in his prayer life.

What makes him and his writing truly awesome is that not only is he one of the world's greatest theologians, but also he knows how to give practical applications to the truths of Holy Scripture. This gives the reader in the twenty-first century the ability to experience the power of prayer and of God in our own lives.

Did You Think to Pray? brings us from the Bible to my life and yours. This book will help take away the fear of failure and doubt and will give you a humble boldness as you visit with Jesus and open your heart to God as the Holy Spirit guides you.

This book is not so much about prayer as it is about praying. You will find yourself praying as you read page by page and chapter after chapter. Then you will have that desire to pray during the day or night before you get your next opportunity to read more in the book. Reading this book is like taking a prayer pilgrimage! You are praying as you read. Wow!

I first came to know Dr. Kendall in 1981 when he was pastor of Westminster Chapel in London, England. He invited me to speak there many times in that historic church. We have become lifelong friends.

He began to pray for me daily back then and has continued to do so. We have talked and discussed theology, life, prayer, and how to reach this world for Christ. We have prayed together. He has prayed me off on many trips to carry the cross. This man is what I consider to be a man of God in biblical proportions.
