Preface
Before you launch into reading this book, I think it's important for you to know that I didn't have much to do with its writing. Permit me to explain.
Shortly after More Incredible Answers to Prayer came off the press, I began getting letters and phone calls from readers telling how much they enjoyed the book. A great number of them wished that it would have been longer. "It's too short a book," they said. They told how deeply it had touched their emotions as they read of God's Holy Spirit working miracles of redemption in the lives of individuals who had lost their way, then found it again as someone interceded in prayer for them. "When will your next book come out?" many asked.
"I have no idea," was my usual reply. Then I would explain that I could prepare another book only as individuals opened their lives to the Holy Spirit's intervention on their behalf in answer to prayers of faith.
Eventually I presented the requests for another book to God, and said: "O Lord my God, as You know, we are living in unique times, and Your people are concerned over many things. Many want me to write another book, and I don't know what to write about. Lord, why not let Your people write this book as Your Holy Spirit blesses and benefits, inspires and encourages, sanctifies and ennobles, andabove allredeems people from self, sin, and the power of the fallen angels? Then all I'll have to do will be to arrange those precious experiences in the order that they fit best."
So God has answered my prayer, and now I can't take any credit for this work.
It may interest you to know that since writing my last book, the Lord has taken me from being a door opener, and is now involving me in His work of moving mountains.

Acknowledgments
It is with great pleasure that I express my gratitude to Ken and Sharon Winn and the Roseville Seventh-day Adventist Church in California. They provided me with a computer and printer when I was overwhelmed with the number of letters I had to give a reply to, and my typewriter was too slow to handle the load.
I am also grateful to my computer analyst, Mike Nelson, of Angwin, California, who has volunteered hundreds of hours of his valuable time to program my computer so that I can instantly review the countless letters that I have written during the past four years in response to reader needs and inquiries. This enables me to see what I have said about similar questions, problems, and situations, and helps me to reply much more quickly to the growing volume of correspondence. Without Mike's special help, I would still be using my electric typewriter and falling further and further behind in my correspondence, and thus would not have had the time to structure and assemble this book.

CHAPTER 1
Some Powerful Lessons
My Friend Jesus continually responds to my prayer requests as well as blessing my life constantly. He is even interested in what may seem the most insignificant details in the lives of His children. Our God, who sustains the very atoms that make up our planet and everything on it, has been reminding me of His care and concern by watching over something that might seem unimportant to many peopleHe has been allowing my Canon PC-1 desk copier to produce high-quality copies without any toner in the print cartridge (I will explain later). In addition, my Lord has enabled me to carry on my intercessory prayer ministry despite my 70 years of age by restoring parts of my body to what they were like 50 years ago. No matter what may happen in the future, I can look back on what God has done for me and know that He is always with me even when He does not seem to answer or intervene. He has given me candles of love and care that will glow in my memory no matter how dark the world may become around me. And they are rays of divine love and compassion that I want to share with you.
Re-created
At the beginning of I99I Hilda, my wife, and I discovered that we were getting up in the morning without feeling as rested as we had previously. We concluded that our 10-year- old mattress and box spring needed replacing, and invested in a high-quality replacement. Hilda did sleep much better, but for me things got worse instead of better.
My lower back pain increased, the pain in my neck and right shoulder got much worse, and I began experiencing pain in my left hip, caused, I felt,by a pinched nerve. After we moved to California in April of I992, I spent hundreds of dollars in an attempt to solve my problems, but obtained no relief. A year later additional problems began to plague me. My left hip suddenly began causing me so much pain that it was impossible to lie on that side, which I needed to do whenever my disabled heart began to ache. Lying on my left side was the only way I had to give my heart the rest it needed. My doctor commented that old age was catching up with me. He said that my muscles, tendons, and ligaments were fast losing their ability to hold my body structure in proper alignment, adversely affecting various organs and adding to my other difficulties.
Unfortunately, I have to avoid pain medicine because I have to take five other kinds of medication each day for my heart problem, and according to my doctor, caring for my heart had to come first. Stretching exercises helped some but did not solve the problem. Then about I0 months ago the Spirit of God led me through a unique experience.
Waking up about 4:30 one morning, I began praying for several individuals on my prayer list who were in especially dire straits. After a while I began a praise session to my heavenly Father, thanking Him for His perfect plan of salvation and rejoicing over the numerous answers to prayer that had already crowned the lives of those I had been praying for. Then I began to meditate on some of the numerous verses of Scripture that I had memorized throughout the years. As they flooded into my mind, bringing new insights, it prompted me to think that perhaps the time had arrived to ask God to re-create those parts of my body that were rapidly becoming powerless.
I now recalled how wonderfully God had blessed the prayers I had made over restaurant food during the 30 years I spent as a traveling salesperson for telephone directory advertising. Years ago I had told the Lord how I wished that I could earn a living closer to home, but nothing was available. Then the words of I Timothy 5:8 had prompted me to accept a traveling job: "If any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel"
So as I sat in restaurants for my breakfast and evening meals (lunch consisted of nuts and fruit that I ate in my car) I would place my trust in the words of Psalm 9I, which I had previously memorized and deeply believed. My prayer to God went something like this: "Father in heaven, as I look upon this inferior food, I still thank You for it, and ask for Your blessing upon it. Living in this land of the enemy, this dying planet, can be very distressing, and I ask, Lord, that You please remove the elements of death from this food so that it will not take me to an early grave. Thank You, Father, for Your love and Your grace."
At the end of each day as I retired for the night, I would ask my Creator to bless my being with "the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8:2)that great power that raised up Lazarus from the deadand to cause the elements of death that I could not avoid taking into my body (through the food I ate, the air I breathed, and the water I drank) to disintegrate and pass out of my body. God honored that daily prayer over many decades, and the fact that I never had the flu or lost time from work because of illness amazed my employers and gave me many opportunities to exalt and glorify my Creator.
