Ever since I was young, Ive been deeply fascinated by the big questions of life. Who are we? What is the soul? What are we doing here? According to Plato, devoted student of Socrates, Socrates said that its the state of our soul, or inner being, which determines the quality of our life.

A mystic at heart, Ive chosen to devote my life to living into this great mystery. To reaching for the part of us that existed before we took our first breath and will live on after we exhale our last. And the deeper I get in my exploration of the journey of the soul, the more Im certain of the mystery itself. Indeed, its true what they say: The more we know, the less we know.

To me, the Starseed concept is twofold. Firstly, to see yourself as a Starseed is to acknowledge that your soul exists beyond this life and has experienced places beyond this planet. Secondly, to identify as a Starseed is to acknowledge that youre intrinsically connected to all things in nature, the Universe, and beyond.

The Starseed concept is very far from anything I grew up with. However, while the notion that theres an inextinguishable part of us thats experienced places other than Earth did seem quite out there when I first encountered it, it also felt deeply familiar and true to me. It was as if an ancient seed, planted long ago, had been awakened inside me and had started to bud and bloom.

I began learning more deeply about the journey of the soul, and how, just as in this life our experiences influence who we are as a person, our souls experiences from lifetime to lifetime and all that comes in between influence who we are as a soul.

I was led to train in the intuitive arts and the Akashic Records, where I undertook structured learning to remember the origins of my own soul history and learned processes to support others in doing the same. For five years I was guided to do soul readings for thousands of people all over the world and was given a front seat that allowed me to witness people from all walks of life remembering their ancient soul selves.

In 2015 I began receiving the energy for a book called Letters to a Starseed, but the timing wasnt quite right. Looking back now, I can see that if I had written that book then, it would have been a very different book to the one youre reading now.

In 2017 I fulfilled a long-term dream to begin sharing the visions Id had of the journey of the soul by creating the Work Your Light Oracle with illustrator Danielle Noel. The following year we created The Starseed Oracle, with the intention of activating and transmitting a deep soul remembering in Starseeds to support them in their current incarnation.

Then in 2020, I was invited to write the Letters to a Starseed book. Id just given birth to my son and was in the depths of writing another book focusing on the themes of returning to the Earth, the Mother, and weaving the soul into everyday life, and so logically, it made no sense for me to take on this new project. But when I meditated on it again and again, I got a clear yes to doing so. Like most things in 2020, there seemed to be a different plan destined than the one Id made.

I was clearly guided that the new book must focus less on looking to the stars and more on supporting Starseeds to commit to their current incarnation here on Earth. On planting ourselves here and remembering the ancient seeds of the soul. Letters to a Starseed is the result of that.

In the chapter What Is a Starseed? I explore the different interpretations of the Starseed concept, and my own beliefs about it, in greater depth. I want to be clear that this book isnt an attempt to propose a new theory of evolution or the origins of the human experience; rather, its focused on the mysterious journey of the soul, how this journey has influenced who we are today, and how we can call all parts of ourselves to truly be here now.

There are many books and much channeled information on the topic of Starseeds from which Ive gotten comfort over the years. But I wrote this book to help Starseeds to seed and plant themselves fully here. To embrace their human experience in all of its extremes and get clear on why theyre here now.

While I recognize that there are different beliefs about our origins one of which is that the human body evolved from the salty oceanic depths I personally believe that theres more to who we are than our physical body and mind. And although this book asks questions like Who are we? and Where did we come from? it does so from the perspective of the soul alone, not the human body. I believe that our souls are eternal, that we choose very consciously to incarnate into physical bodies, and that the soul, the body, and the mind are all equally sacred and holy.

I believe that now more than ever we must commit to being here on Earth. To embody our soul right down into our cells. At this time when the polarity of Earth seems to be at an all-time high and were unable to look away any longer, we must find a way to be fully here now.

A natural tendency of the sensitive (and many Starseeds identify as highly sensitive) is to disassociate and yearn to be someplace else that feels more like home. However, I do believe that were being guided to remember why we chose to come and that if were here, its because, from a soul perspective, we chose it.

This is a book for those who at times feel misplaced in the world; those who have always felt a remembering of some other place without quite knowing what that place really is.
