Day 1 WHOM SHALL I FEAR The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I - photo 8 Day 1 WHOM SHALL I FEAR The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear P - photo 9
WHOM SHALL I FEAR?

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

P SALM 27:1 NASB

Fear lives next door to faith.

Davids personal testimony proves he was serious about praising the Lord, yet he still pleaded with God not to hide His face from him. Davids enemies stumbled and fell when they came against him, yet he asked the Lord to not deliver him into their hands. He knew God wouldnt abandon him in the days of trouble, yet his one desire was to dwell in Gods presence every moment.

Like David, our one desire in life should be to dwell in Gods threefold presence all the days of our lives. In Gods omnipresence, we see Him everywhere we look. He dwells in us as the Holy Spirit the moment we believe in Christ, and He will never leave us. In His manifest presence, His embracing calmness soothes our souls in our darkest moments.

Teach us, O Lord, to focus on our faith in

You instead of our worldly fears and to see

Your goodness in the land of the living.

Day 2 LEVEL GROUND Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him If you - photo 10 Day 2 LEVEL GROUND Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him If you abide in - photo 11
LEVEL GROUND

Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.

J OHN 8:3132 AMPC

The quaking of our worldsinner and outercan leave us shaken. But God provides us with solutions. He helps us to be resilient, to absorb the shocks that come our way, to hold fast under the pressure.

Gods Word repeatedly tells us not to be afraid. He has blessed us with the avenue of prayer. He invites and encourages us to abide in Him, promising that when we walk in His truth, when we believe His Word with our whole heart, mind, body, and soul, we are freed from the sins that snare, the worries that stress. And in so doing, we find His love spread out before us and our feet standing on level ground (see Psalm 26:3, 12).
