Thirty years ago, Daniel Amstutz set out to write a book on worship, but it was premature for its time. But now the time for The Place of His Presence has arrived. Like water on a fire that boils to the surface, this book has been percolating in Daniels heart for decades. FOREWORD

Daniel Amstutz has been a personal friend for over three decades. Ive known him as the music director at multiple churches and Ive been with him when he pastored a church. He has traveled with me as far back as the 80s when we only had a handful of people come to the meetings. Now he directs all the praise and worship at our Charis Bible College in Woodland Park Colorado where we pack out our 3200-seat auditorium.

Like anyone who has been in ministry for 50 years, Daniel has certainly had his share of challenges. Back in 2008 we went to lunch together and he shared with me his desire to get back into ministry. For a number of years he had to revert to faux painting to support his family and he had a very successful business, but his heart was clearly in the music ministry. I prayed and agreed with him, not realizing at the time that I was also affecting my future.

Daniel came on staff at Charis Bible College in 2011 and has taken not only the music ministry but the whole Bible college to another level. Our praise and worship is some of the best anywhere and he is able to bridge the generation gaps that exist between our younger and older students. Daniel has produced five music CDs with his Charis Worship which are some of my favorites.

Daniel also leads our third-year worship track where he trains our students not only in music quality but in the heart of worship. Daniel has a revelation on New Testament worship that glorifies the finished work of Christ instead of begging God for what He has already done.

Daniel also leads our healing school which meets every Thursday. He has trained thousands of prayer ministers on how to teach and minister healing to others. We have thousands of testimonies of healing through the healing school and many more through the students who have graduated and gone on to share these truths with others. Daniel also leads our Healing is Here conference every summer with thousands of healings reported at each conference.
