What If I Name Her Grace?
Chrissies raw honesty about her journey as a new Christian mom is both inspiring and life-giving! Seeing Jesus come to life in a very real life kind of way as a mom, a wife, and a believer makes Him feel closer and more accessible than ever. Chrissie depicts the blossoming relationship of a new believer with the Lord in such an honest and relatable way. I definitely recommend this book to any woman who needs the reminder that she isnt alone and that Jesus is much nearer than we think.

What If I Name Her Grace? is such a sweet memoir of an everyday wife and mom trying to grow closer to Jesus. In it, through Chrissies telling of her varied life experiences, God proves time and time again that He is not only faithful, steady, and true, but also full of surprises, not the least of which being that He calls her to grow her family overseas. This book has strengthened my faith in God, especially when it comes to loving my neighbors who happen to live inside my house. Cant recommend it enough!

This book will become a trusted companion on your parenting journey. And with Chrissies guidance, youll likely find yourself offering more grace to yourself as well as to your family.

What an amazing gift this book is for young mothers, military wives, and any woman struggling with everyday life as a mom, wife, and child of God. Chrissie shares the story of how she renewed her relationship with God, and how that changed her life, her marriage, her ability to be the kind of mother she wanted to be, and even her health. Its a powerful story of how God uses ordinary moments in ordinary lives to create change that can last generations and affect everyone around us.
Nada Manley,
Christian stylist
Chrissies journey to grace is a compelling story of a young military bride who had three children in six years and moved five times in nine years! Through all this, she found Christ and grace in her relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. Her journey not only included motherhood and all that it entails with very young children, but lifestyle changes in diet and exercise that improved her life and marriage and brought her a peaceful existence that enabled her to greet the dawn every day with prayer and study. This remarkable journey is not one on a superhighway, but a bumpy road with many moments of challenge: with her marriage, her children, and her faith. But succeed she did, and she brings to her state of grace encouragement and strength. What If I Name Her Grace? is a wonderful read that is truly inspiring.

This book is so real, relevant, and inspiring for any person who reads it. The transparency of Chrissies struggles and the lessons she learned gave me such grace for my own life as a mom with three young children. The book is laced with scriptures and spiritual concepts that both the baby and mature Christian can easily grasp. My self-perception as a Christian mother and wife has been impacted thanks to Chrissies raw openness and confessions in her book.

Foreword
Pursuing Jesus every day takes courage. It means showing up, ready to lean into Jesus with our whole self on both the good days and those crazy, awful, bad days. For me, that has meant being REAL with myself, not believing the lie that I am not enough or that I need to do more. Pursuing Jesus every day means letting go of the shame of not loving enough, of not having been present enough, of believing that I am just not enough. For some, it might mean the courage to bring disappointments and anger to Jesus. (He understands anger and the need to get it right!) For others, it might mean admitting the fear that sometimes grips a person to the point of thinking you dont have enough or know enough, and you never will.
My personal life verse comes from Romans 12:2 in The Message version. So, heres what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary lifeyour sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around lifeand place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Notice the phrase God helping you. This is not of our own strength. But with Gods help and grace, we grow to become followers of Jesus and release the should-haves and ought-tos and live one day at a time.
Becoming a follower of Jesus doesnt happen overnight. Its an everyday, ordinary process, and most of the time its not a neat and tidy process. Following Jesus is a slow process that takes time. Raising kids, being married, not being married, struggling with our past, longing for more in our future, being content, and becoming discontent are all a part of the process. It takes courage and patience and practice to become a Jesus follower. Then there are those days when we throw away everything we thought we knew and start all over again from scratch. Jesus takes us even closer into His arms and shows us an even deeper love. He provides a new lens through which to see those we love the most, but more importantly a new lens to see ourselves and begin to love ourselves as followers of Jesus.
