Praise for Hiring the Heavens
Accessing spiritual assistance for everyday life events what a concept! Very often we dont think to ask for help unless confronted with a major problem or life-threatening situation. Jean breaks through all the preconceived notions about asking and presents a clear, concise how-to book helping us to tap into and use the limitless powers that prevail on a daily basis. With this information, life becomes easier.

I read the book in about an hour and started creating committees immediately. Several of my committees have done fantastic jobs and have made my life become more prosperous and flow easier. For example, I hired a real estate committee and had a new place to live with all of my specifications within five days, and marketing committees have brought me new business. The tasks are infinite, and the angelic beings are very happy because these duties help them to grow and evolve as well. Thank you, Jean, for bringing the book out to the public.

I was guided to write this book. At first I couldnt imagine how my ideas could fill a book they seemed too simple! After all, I had been using them for years without any special effort or training. They had become so much a part of my life that I never went through a day without them. It took as little as ten minutes to share my process with friends, so how could I possibly expand the material enough to create an entire book? Yet thats what my inner guidance insisted upon.
It began to dawn on me that the simplicity of my process was its greatest beauty. I loved the idea of offering a path to Spirit that seemed like childs play, one so easy and openhearted that it left room for the readers own imagination to flower. I wanted my book to be short and sweet, yet overflowing with possibilities something that could be read in a few hours and yet potentially change the readers perceptions in a profound and lasting way.
I knew I would need to depict what Ive come to call the Spirits of Creation in a way that would inspire rather than confine the reader. I decided to use various terms (celestial helpers, invisible assistants, cosmic forces, angels, guides, Spirit, the Heavens, the Divine, and so on) that could be interpreted as literally or symbolically as the reader wished. I knew that many people would view the Spirits of Creation as actual beings, while others might see them as facets of their own inner or higher selves or simply as a handy way to conceptualize the infinite resources and benevolence of the nonphysical dimension. Or all of the above! More than anything, I wanted my book to open a beautiful doorway that could be entered by readers with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
So, in the spring of 2002, I began to put pen to paper. And I watched as my ideas, while retaining their precious simplicity, began to deepen and fill out. As the book evolved, my own personal awareness about who we really are and what were here to do expanded dramatically.
Many spiritual teachers tell us that life is a gift to be lived in joyful alignment with our divine source. But until a few years ago I didnt understand that to achieve this alignment, I had to own, accept, and employ the part of me that is divine. Otherwise, my essence and my purpose in this lifetime would not be fully expressed.
Employ my own divinity? What exactly did that mean? I discovered that for me the answer lay at the heart of creating my own reality, a very popular idea these days but one that only became real for me when I embraced the employment concept described in this book. Ultimately, it meant a shift in perception that changed the way I viewed everything.
It all began when I came to understand that I was not alone, that spiritual helpers stood ready and willing to be hired in the cocreative expression of my divinity. Unified with Spirit, I realized I was master of my universe and designer of my world. This was a message of freedom and power.
I must admit that much of what Im about to share came as a big surprise to me. Watching it unfold was an exhilarating experience, but it also triggered some internal resistance. Part of this revelation, I felt at first, bordered on irreverence. I now recognize that my apprehension was nothing more than growing pains within my consciousness. As my spirit expanded into fuller understanding, new perceptions replaced those beliefs that no longer served me.
