KS Technique (KST) is a comprehensive healing modality. The letters KST stand for Kabbalah Somatic Technique. Based on the ancient practice of Kabbalah, KST teaches how each part of our body and mind has its own wisdom to share with us by offering a reflected portion of our greater innate wisdom-a microcosm of the macrocosm.
Rooted in the Tree of Life (ToL) and traditional Kabbalah, this profound technique bridges other modalities, including Ayurveda, Polarity, Reiki and Cranial Sacral, as well as scientific concepts such as Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Biology, Chaos Theory and Relativity. KST is a place where Kabbalah, other healing modalities, and modern science all meet. The words and approaches of each may differ on the surface. By decoding their respective terminologies and demonstrating the ultimate connection between these worlds, we find the similarities. KST becomes a key to understanding and utilizing multiple approaches to facilitating greater awareness for ourselves and others, a Rosetta Stone of healing, if you will.
Our research into modern forms of science is beginning to prompt us to rethink the orientation of the healing arts. The science of physics is, defined as the study of matter and energy and the interaction between them. The deeper our scientific understanding of these interactions the more we find a resemblance to the ancient healing arts.
KST can be, described as a science of health rather than of disease, an approach that works with the whole person rather than the symptom. It can be deeply complex and rich in its teaching, or it can be as simple as learning to hold space with positive intention or kavana. Practioners utilize KST as an energy medicine: a science that understands the body as an energetic aspect of the whole. Working with the healing power of the universal healing energy called ohrim, KST is the healing science that bridges past and future in the omnipresent now.
One of the reasons holistic healing differs from western technology, chemistry and other mechanical and medical research is that those involved with the latter fields of study often lost sight of the bigger picture of humanity as they explored the workings of our physical world and its inhabitants. In the past, scientists tended to see human beings and their surroundings merely as items to be, viewed from the other end of a microscope. However, as those details have given way to a bigger picture within fields such as quantum mechanics, quantum biology, chaos and string theory (minus calculation issues), we are now poised to unite both the scientific and spiritual visions of the world into a more holistic vision of ourselves. We are not looking for a new science; rather we are looking, to view ourselves, and the universe, through new eyes.

Praise for KSTechnique:

Healing the World One Person at a Time

One of the most significant features of Kabbalah is how it integrates the physical and spiritual aspects of reality. In her groundbreaking work, Rabbi Jordania Goldberg has applied this unitive Kabbalistic principle to holistic healing. This book demonstrates how a modern healer can draw upon ancient mystical teachings and modern science, blending the two into an effective therapeutic system.

DANIEL C. MATT, author of The Essential Kabbalah, God and the Big Bang, and the multi-volume annotated translation, The Zohar: Pritzker Edition

Rabbi Jordania Goldberg has created a new healing modality utilizing energy healing, framed through the wisdom of Kabbalistic concepts. In this book she shares KST (Kabbalah Somatic Technique) with the world.

It is Rabbi Goldbergs mission to heal the world one person at a time, and in this book, she explains the way she uses kabbalah, physical technique and energy to yield a very powerful roadmap towards holistic healingthat of mind, body and spirit.

One can only be grateful for her insight, passion and dedication. May KST yield great success for Rabbi Jordania and the world!

RABBI STEVEN BLANE, Sim Shalom Jewish Universalist Synagogue

Rabbi Jordania Goldberg has perfectly balanced profound principles of psychology with the oldest of spiritual teachings. In this book, Rabbi Jordania uses her deep, powerful, intuitive knowledge to apply Kabbalistic wisdom to holistic healing. This is a groundbreaking work that I would recommend to anyone interested in the healing arts.

FOREWORD

LEARNING KABBALAH SOMATIC TECHNIQUE (KST) was the most incredible journey. When Joanne Hardy and I first began to work with this modality, I had no idea just how much this technique would impact my work, life and understanding. During that time, I was working as a massage therapist in hospice and in private practice. We had just wrapped up the first part of the training when I returned to work. As I entered the hospice to begin my shift, I saw the name of one of my home care patients on the list for our inpatient unit.

I prepared myself to begin my rotation and thought about trying this modality with him. I felt strongly that this would help. I saw his family in the unit and asked if I could work with him to do the massage and KST I was learning. They informed me that he was no longer responsive but that I could work with him.

I knocked on his door and introduced myself again as I entered the room. After I washed my hands and prepared for his session, I thought through the sephirot and began to work with him. As I moved through the sephirot and came up to Binah, Chochmah, and Keter, his energy was noticeably different. At Keter, he began to laugh gently and I almost hit the floor.

I let him know I was with him and doing massage and energy work, and at that moment, his father flew around the corner as he heard his sons voice. We gathered bedside as the patient spoke briefly and told us he was just having the best dream. I told him to return to it if he wished. He smiled and slowly drifted off. His dad and I remained with him for the next few minutes. I finished the session and the enormity of what just happened began to settle in.

I completed my day in the unit, and as I was preparing to leave to go see my patients in home care, the hospice patients nurse came into my office to let me know that he had just died with a smile on his face. I went to speak with his family and say goodbye. As soon as I was outside, I called Jordania to ask her what in the world did she teach me?!!?

I told her exactly what happened, and she listened in her beautiful way. From that day on, this technique has been an integral part of my practice. I use it with my clients, teach it to my students and meditate with it to discover what is happening in my own body. Through the years of doing this technique, many other incredible things have occurred.

Another person I encountered early in my learning of this technique was a friend who had recently been diagnosed with cancer. I was still learning the words and my Hebrew was rough. He patiently let me work with him as I placed flashcards on his sephirot and stumbled over the names and meanings. He has two children who watched and listened each day that I came in to do this work. They became my helpers and would place the crystals on their dad while we worked together. His journey through this particular bout of cancer led him out of state and it was then that we discovered that we could do this technique remotely.

I set up my table as though he was coming in for a treatment, and we picked the time to begin. I went through the whole session just as if he was laying on my table and the pendulum was picking up his energy! I took notes and recorded each reading. When each session ended, I called him and told him what the readings were. He and I were astounded as the readings were spot on. There was one particularly strange reading, in which the pendulum moved in a way I had never seen. We found out later that this was exactly where his cancer was. We did this work continually until he came back home and began to heal here.

KST is the most important modality I have learned. The applications for KST are broad and are useful in a variety of ways. Personally, I have worked with this modality through bodywork, guided imagery, meditation, distance energy work and in relaxation techniques. The information you will learn as you begin to work with KST is incredible. First, you will be able to connect with information held within your own body in a whole new way. Second, you will be able to connect with clients or patients at an entirely different level. You will learn ways to observe their energy within each sephirot while they are also becoming aware. Lastly, you will then be able to synchronize all of this information into an incredibly personalized treatment that will work on the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical bodies.

I hope you enjoy each page of the book you are about to read. As you soak in all of this information, relax into the synergies of the ancient wisdoms that are represented on these pages. Notice the elements from Ayurveda, Kabbalah, crystals, essential oils, bodywork and energy work that are interwoven in KST. Feel how this information changes your own perceptions and then watch as it changes those of the people you practice this with.
