ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brett Aiken was born on August 13, 1983. As a senior in high school, Brett was born again. After his senior year, he answered the call to preach the Gospel at seventeen years of age. Brett obtained a Christian Studies degree from North Greenville University and a Masters in Christian Leadership from Liberty Theological Seminary. Brett and his wife Erica have been married since August of 2006. Bretts greatest passion in life is sharing Gods message.

Chapter 1

DREAMERS ADD AN H TO IMPOSSIBLE

The world will try to wake you up from your dreams by giving you sleepless nights. Dont let negative people discourage you from doing great things. Since the beginning of human civilization, true leaders have pushed through negativity and hatred to accomplish their dreams.

Then Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him even more. Genesis 37:5

Have you ever noticed that most people are like Josephs brothers; THEY HATE DREAMERS. The world we live in will do whatever it can to extinguish the fire in your heart. The truth of the matter is that we need more people like Joseph who can dream the dreams of God. Dreamers and visionaries bring life where there is extinction; water where there is drought; vitality where there is despair. My prayer is that God would raise up some dreamers!

Do you know why the average persons life is a nightmare? They have stopped dreaming. Do you know why the average church is a nightmare? The pastor has stopped dreaming.

Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained. Proverbs 29:18

No matter who you are or what field of life you are in, you need a fresh and exciting vision of what God wants to do in your life; you need a dream! Christians should be the most alive, exciting, and dynamic people in a town. If that is the case, why does the average church resemble an insomnia clinic rather than a dream factory? We are in desperate need for Gods people to start dreaming again. One person with a dream is equal to a force of ninety-nine who have only an interest.

Someone said after Walt Disney World was created that it was too bad Walt Disney didnt live to see what was built, but in reality, he did see itthats why its here. Everything that seems common to us today was at one time impossible; from riding on a train to flying in a plane. A few decades ago, making a call on a cell phone would seem impossible. Now, almost every person in the United States has one!

Everything amazing started as a dream. A dream is the ability to see into the horizon and then, from the end result, work in the present to accomplish the goal that is in the future. Isnt that what God is doing even now? From the beginning, God has been working from the end result: He desires for a group of people to spend eternity worshipping Him because they receive forgiveness of sin and the salvation that He offers. He has been working to accomplish His vision since the beginning of time. Before the world began, He mapped out the destination. Someone once said that the wise man knows the destination before he buys the ticket. Get a dream, and then pursue it with all your heart.

How does Gods dream for our life become a reality? You must first understand that dreamers always add an H to impossible. When you add an H to impossible it becomes Him-possible. Hallelujah, I dont care what it is, with God it is possible!

For nothing will be impossible with God. Luke 1:37

The things that are impossible with people are possible with God. Luke 18:27

You need to get out of your heart that some things are impossible; a dreamer takes the impossible and adds an H and it becomes HIM-POSSIBLE. All things are possible for Him. One thing I never want to hear in our church is thats impossible or we just cant do it. We can do it because we can add an H to impossible.

When you really think about it, what is impossible? Even the laws of our world like gravity, matter, and death dont apply to God. Peter could walk on water because of the power of God. Jesus walked through a wall because of the power of God. Lazarus came back from the dead because of the power of God. My point is that we limit our own dreams because we use a word called impossible when we should realize that nothing is impossible for God.

Dreamers realize that you can take the impossible and add an H to it and it becomes Him-possible; God will make that dream in your life possible. More often than not, we let the idea that our dream is impossible steal our passion. Dont let anybody steal what God has already given you. The Bible teaches that the Devil is a thief, and he will do anything he can to steal away the dream that God has given you. Jesus did not come to steal but to give us an abundant life.

The first key to dreaming your reality is to always add an H to impossible. Many people have a dream and then at the first sign of resistance they give up. For many, the first person to tell them it is impossible causes that dream to go by the wayside. Change your mindset about what is possible and what is impossible. Never underestimate the power of our Father.

I remember as a young boy we had a huge field beside our house where we would play baseball. At the far end of the field there was a gray wooden fence that had more splinters than nails. Although none of us had the power to hit it there, the fence served as the outfield wall. It was inconceivable to think that anyone could hit the ball over that old wooden fence. Since we did not possess the power to hit it that far we just assumed it could not be done; we considered it impossible. One day my dad stepped off the lawnmower and walked toward us as we were playing. He motioned for us to throw him a pitch at home plate. He boasted of how he was going to hit it over the old wooden fence on the other side of the field. We could not believe he said such a foolish thing! It was impossible to hit it over that old fence. After a few pitches, we saw something we had never seen before; the impossible was now possible. I underestimated the power of my father.

We thought something was impossible because we had never seen it done and because we did not possess the power to do it. Just because we did not have the power to do it did not mean that my father did not have the power to do it. Never assume something is impossible just because you have never seen it done. Something may be impossible for you, but that does not mean it is impossible for our Heavenly Father.
