Are you or someone you love merely existing or feeling trapped in a life that is much less than you had hoped to be living? If so, Getting Your Life ON-TARGET is the key to unlocking the chains that have imprisoned you. Writing from first-hand experience, Steven J. Austin shares the many life-altering truths he learned through years of rebellion, addiction, and despair. The result is an awakening realization into why you do what you do; why you continue following destructive cycles and patterns and how to break free from those cycles; how to experience peace through any of lifes circumstances; how God uses your past to prepare you for your future; how to recognize Gods activity in your daily life; how to live life comfortably in your own skin; how to use proven tools to ensure life-long change, and much more! In Getting Your Life ON-TARGET, Steven J. Austin shows readers that most of us are trying to do something thats already been done, trying to find something thats already there, trying to get something we already have, so that we might become someone we already are. He takes readers on a journey to help them truly understand and believe that Jesus is who the Bible really says He is and that they are who Jesus says they are! As the founder of 180 Degrees Ministries, Steven J. Austin has used the four cornerstones he presents in this book to communicate Gods ways to assist an individual in constructing a lens through which all of life may be processed. Each chapter following the cornerstones unpacks the truths that Steven J. Austin has used and applied in his own life and in his years of offering hope and freedom to those with life struggles.

ENDORSEMENTS FOR GETTING YOUR LIFE ON-TARGET

Steve points us to the only One who can get our lives on target. He points us to Jesus and His finished work on the cross, which has already provided all that we need to get our life on target. Christ in you, the hope of glory, is our life on target.

First Baptist Church, Millington, Tennessee, Prison Ministries, began teaching the Getting Your Life ON-TARGET material at the West Tennessee State Prison in August 2012. Our little ministry has been operating out of our church for about nine years and our class numbers have always been somewhat small. However, when we began using Getting Your Life ON-TARGET, our numbers climbed to new heights! We have seen over 100 men come through at least one class with about forty eight graduating all twelve classes with certificates.

For people raised in loving, Christian families, its easy to slip into I already know this thinking. But God meets us where we are, not where we think we are. From the time I first encountered 180 Degrees Ministries, I have been reminded and encouraged that my life is a 3-D journey, and that God is using experiences, hurts, teachings, and successes from the past to shape us afresh every day in ways weve never recognized. Things are not always what they appear to be; allow God to use this book to reveal things from His perspective.

I have always been a people-pleaser, trying to find worth and satisfaction in my life through work, people, and food. Weighing in at 300 pounds and being a work-a-holic was affecting my health. When my position at work was eliminated, I decided to have gastric bypass surgery due to health issues. A year later I had a pace maker implanted. During this time I felt God telling me to slow down, but I was afraid of disappointing others so I couldnt and wouldnt listen to the small voice. Now, laying in a hospital bed, God had my full attention, but I didnt know why I did or believed the things about myself that I did.

Through 180 Degrees Ministries, Steve Austins teaching spoke truth into my life and opened my eyes to things that I had never realized before. God was really working in me and showed me that simple statements made when I was very youngeven jokinglyI had taken serious and the enemy had twisted to make me feel that I was unwanted and unworthy. So, I have spent my life trying to feel worthy and accepted. What an ah ha moment. How freeing when you live to please God (whom is already pleased with you and whom you cannot disappoint) and quit trying to please everyone else.

It also lets me see others and situations in a different way. As God walks me through another trial or valley, I am so much more aware of his presence and I know that I have everything I need, because I have him leading me through.

Life has many secrets, but the truths that I was taught in the 180 teachings, changed my life forever!

Cherie Jobe

Last year Steve, Allen, and Mary came to our church. In three short days, they proved Biblically that in Christ, God has given us everything we need to become that vessel of honor He designed us to be: instant forgiveness in salvation and ultimate holiness because of who He made us to be. 180 Degrees Ministries helped teach the folks at Spur On, that good or bad, everything is always all about God.

180 Degrees Ministries communicates the way to truly live life abundantly! Getting Your Life ON-TARGET brought validation to my 30-plus years of Bible reading. When one reads 2 Peter, chapter 1:3, His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him and the central message of 180 is the same, you know that they are on target.

We are exactly who and where God meant for us to be. The trauma, joy and all of our personal experiences are Gods fingerprints on our lives to prepare us for His purposes for the rest of our lives. This is the message that could not possibly be misunderstood.

We are fulfilled when we are in Him and He is in us. All things have passed away and all things are new. We just need to no longer be conformed to the world, but transformed by the renewing of our minds in His word. Getting Your Life ON-TARGET walks one through the process to do just that.

To know Steve and the 180 team is to have a glimpse of the heart of God here on earth. As I drove down an interstate listening to Steve and his family share about his life as an addict in rebellion toward God, then of his deliverance, I wept uncontrollably in the presence of God. Life can be a journey of the best days ahead even for the vilest of sinners. Getting Your Life ON-TARGET is a unique way God has gifted this ministry to help people experience their best days ahead. It helps people live in the presence and perspective of God. They help people discover the God of healing, hope, deliverance, mercy, and grace. Today is the best day of my life and each day can be the best day of yours as well. Please, experience Getting Your Life ON-TARGET.

For those who desire to experience all that
life has to offer, this book is for you
.

Books and people have a lot in common. Many of them come into our lives each and every year. Some of them (books and people) challenge us, inspire us, help us, encourage us, strengthen us, and with Gods help, change us. However, we also know that many of those books we read (or at least flip through the pages) and the people we meet, do nothing for us. They may look good on our bookshelves and serve as friends on Facebook, but honestly we must admit theyve impacted us very little.

One of those people who have served the former versus the later in my life is Steve Austin. Steve is one of those men who has challenged, inspired, helped, encouraged, strengthened, and through Gods hand on his life and teaching, has helped transform the lives of many, mine included. I will always remember that uncomfortable feeling I felt in my soul the first time Steve asked me, Brian, at the center of who you are, who are you? For the first time in my life my Sunday school answers werent working. My education was lacking and my definition of success needed to be redefined.
